Wow.

I don't know if I've ever seen a game like that.  39 points without help from some FTs.

Joe is my guy. But.... that's what he does.  It was expected.

I know he was supposed to be a good shooter but, that doesn't always seem to transfer the sixers lol

Give it time, he'll be hot potatoing the ball before his FT's soon enough

FYI just watched the game. Maxey took what was there which was a lot for him.  He doesn’t initiate contact or use his body on offense.  This was a clean 39 point night. He made the right reads in traffic and passed out. He's not near the point where he's trying to draw fouls.  If he learns that skill, watch out.  Not once did I think he was getting fouled with no call.

Kid balled today though. Looking forward to his development.

agreed. Maybe he can get the the line, cause Simmons sure doesn't seem to want to.

Really fun game, especially since there was no expectation of winning.

Maxey looked really nice on the offensive side, he looked awful on defense (but he showed growth through the game). I think he will continue to develop on both sides of the ball, he is surrounded by good players who can help him learn. His shot rarely looks pretty, but it seems to go in at a consistent clip, and that floater is a heck of a calling card.

Isaiah Joe is so silky smooth with that jumper, and his range is bonkers. I really like what I see from him, I think he will prove to be a nice spark off the bench by the end of the season.

Reed is definitely a project. He is all over the place, in both the good way and the bad way.

Also, props to Bradley last night, I thought he had a nice game. High motor, willingness to set screens, and he did his job on the boards.

Also I dig the all black unis..

Kid can play! He actually might be the same version of Ben on the offensive side, but FING SHOOTS

I was more thinking he's what Fultz was supposed to be.  His vision and feel for the game on offense are a lot better than what I thought.  Didn't look into him much pre draft because I thought he'd be gone by our pick.  He's looking like a legit 3 level scorer.

Agreed, he even runs like Fultz with his chest up and in the herky jerky manner.

His game right now to me resembles Caris LeVert. Gets where he wants, great floater game, some pull up ability. Not much of a 3 point shooter, but can hit.

The great news is that it took Caris years to get to his level and Maxey is there as a rookie. Upside is insane for him.

If he continues improving what he already has, without adding much else, he looks like he can be a Donovan Mitchell clone.

If he starts hitting 3s consistently, and drawing fouls frequently, then hes just gonna be off the charts good.

Either way, hes looking like a soon to be perennial all star.

I said this before Maxey started playing, the only way I do the Harden trade is Ben, Matisse, and two firsts AND THAT'S IT!  No f'ing way I'd give them Maxey.  And that is even more true today.

Keep him far away from Ben and Joel.  Do not let their laziness ruin his development.

Why did he say that?

Celtics game canceled with 8 healthy players, but Sixers played with 7.

yeah... Rockets game got cancelled too. Thats Fd up how they did that.

According to a tweet I saw we had to dress Mike Scott even though we knew he was out, just to "say" we had 8 so we didnt have to forfeit.

So the NBA postponed games for other teams, but was going to hand us an L?

:fishing: :fishing:

Yeah.

I'd probably rather not play embiid in this one since it's almost a sure loss.  But I guess he may need it for conditioning since he's missed some time already.

Not the same, Maxey is out, isn’t he?

[Derek Bodner] Here's who is listed as available for tonight's #sixers game vs the Hawks: - Joel Embiid - Danny Green - Tyrese Maxey - Isaiah Joe - Dakota Mathias - Dwight Howard - Tony Bradley - Paul Reed - Mike Scott

<------Wrong

I won't lie, I'm low key kinda excited to see what Maxey can do with Embiid added to the mix.

Heat will be without all their good players minus Herro,  for their games this week.

Nba hates the sixers
