There is a tweet saying Maxey and Ben.  I hope its Houston trying to make that happen.  Maxey is untouchable.

Simmons simply hasn't evolved his offensive game in his now 4th year a pro. Embiid's prime is being wasted with Simmons on this team.

that's why i said ben is only elite and not one of the greatest.

lebron is one of the greatest players in the nba, that is unquestioned.

ben is at least in the upper echelon of the elite players currently playing, if you're making the case for him to be compared to giannis...  who's been twice named mvp already.

could you win a championship with ben and joel?  again, with luck and balls bouncing your way, yes.  all championships require a little luck.

I wouldn't give up Maxey. Look what Herro did for the Heat last year, hell last night. Now the Heat are in talks with the Rockets because of how well Herro has progressed.

He is an elite defender but so is Marcus Smart, Brook Lopez, Patrick Beverley, or Kris Dunn but that doesn't make him elite at all. 

I am making the comparison of Giannis and Ben both started off raw and only one has developed his game into anything.

No way Maxey is on the table.  Morey would move onto a Beal deal if he is including Maxey.

It's a great problem to have.  You can reduce Harden to 33-34 minutes during the regular season.  You start Maxey on Harden rest days.  Maxey will crush back ups during his spot duty.

Simmons, Thybulle, Scott (for salary) and picks/swaps. Houston won't get anything better.

And this is a NO-BRAINER. Maximize the next 2 years with Harden and Embiid. This is the window, and Simmons won't get it done. Kyrie is imploding the Nets, so the east is much easier now (Bucks always choke). You're basically betting on LeBron finally becoming a human and showing decline in the next 2 years.

 

 

People are speculating that PJ Tucker will be attached to the Harden deal because he is on the same side of the locker room as him.  I don't care whether we get Tucker or not.  Just no trading Maxey.

 

 

trade might get more complicated because the sixers are rumored to want pj tucker...so more salary would need to head out of philly.

you have to look at ben as a whole and NOT just compare him as a defender.  i dunno if i would look at any name you listed as a triple double threat any time they're on the court like ben is.  the one time we surrounded ben and joel with shooters, our team was projected as one of the best starting 5's (if not best) in the league at that point.  our team has space creating shooters once again.  and it's early in the season.

what plagued that squad was an awful bench.  something which, by early accounts, looks like we're not lacking this year.  the guys coming off our bench can hold their own.  i hold on to ben, at least until the all-star break to see how things shake out with the current roster.  harden will only drive his own price down and by that time may not cost as many picks / players as he's projected to cost now.

Ben has the most useless triple doubles in league history.  Forget the regular season, Ben is UNPLAYABLE in the playoffs.  How do some people not see this?

You can't win with this, period. Like how does anyone defend this? He not only didn't shoot it, but he picked up his dribble. Middle school level crap. 

Kelly was standing at the FT line so his ability to drive by guys is zero when guys wont guard him on the perimeter. Ben looks all worldly in the regular season because of the opportunities for fast break points. Those disappear in the playoffs and left with this below.

there might be some trade exception stuff where salaries don't have to perfectly match....idk.

- $33M is the number needed to send out

- The OKC trade only allows Philly to trade a 2021, 2022 or 2023 (cannot be all 3). For their 2027 to be conveyed, the pick protection in 2025 (top 6) has to be lifted.

- They are allowed to swap 1’s from 2021-2024.
