Both are bench players. Not to trade them for harden is laughable. Everyone got excited because maxey scored 40. To each their own.

Maxey is showing a lot of promise as a rookie. It’s not just the one big game that he people not wanting to trade him.

But hey, I’m on the record saying I didn’t want Harden, period. For anybody.

For Nets

Harden 25ppg, 12 assists, 8 rebounds, 89FT%, 38 3P% BALL HOG!!!!

Pass

Beal 34ppg, 5 assists, 5 rebounds 88 FT%, 36 3P %

But but but giving up Shake or Maxey isn't worth it to give up to get Beal

It wasn't just those two why the trade didn't happen...it was trading away a decade worth of picks and swaps, too.

Do picks swap matter when you have Beal and Embiid?

I was more referring to the Harden deal who is a few years older and some strip club chicken wings away from decline.  Beal I'd give up a lot.  Don't know that we have anything that would interest the Wizards.  Ben is just a horrible fit with Westbrook, I can't see them tying those two together unless they can move Westbrook as part of the deal.

Look where he is standing, not hard to figure out

i feel this is joel responding to everyone in this thread wanting to trade ben:

heck, even doc says it:

as far as the offense with ben goes, i think the stats guys here can even find the that with ben on the floor, our guys shoot above or around 40% from three..  without him?  like 29%.  that's a HUGE swing.  also, i think we've lost our last 7 games without simmons.  you could say we've lost games without embiid too, but it just shows we need both of them.  someone somewhere online put it like..  embiid is the motor, simmons is the driver.

what i WILL agree with though is there needs to be another guy who can be a ben simmons-lite on the team and run things when ben is off the floor.  we saw last night our offense stalled a lot.  there was no one creating for the other guys, like ben.  milton and maxey are primarily scorers first type players, not set guys up type players.  we'd need a rondo type guy to run the offense when ben is not on the floor.  plus a guy like tucker or bjelica to be a stretch big for ben when embiid sits.  not HUGE asks and not the roster altering trades like a beal or lavine...  but would go a long way towards fixing some problems on this team.

K thanks

my 6 year old is in here and Im watching Nets/Raptors pregame. Doris Burke came on the TV and he said look at her hair what happened to her? (Her hair is white, and bright yellow, and its also messy). I said I dont know, her hair isnt done too nicely. He said, she looks like she got mauled by a bear!

Oh I got the joke just think it's an odd joke to make after getting blown out by a team with it's best players out. The loss is no big deal but , meh. Guess I'm just having rough week lol.

Kind of feel like it would have to be a three-way trade if the sixers do it.

How's the young guy Maxey doing still? Last I heard he was having a really good rookie year and looked like a great draft pick.

He is what you expect from a rookie drafted in the 20s. Will have really bright spots and then be a rookie. If he wants court time with Joel and Ben his shot will need to develop.

So no Durant tonight.  I wonder if they sit Joel?

Update: Durant is now listed as questionable and Kyrie Irving is out with a finger injury.

I was looking forward to this game with both teams at even strength.  With Kyrie out, they might sit Joel because of the minutes he logged his last two games.  If they beat us with Kyrie and Durant out, it's going to piss a lot of people off.  That would mean Harden lights us up.

i just looked up who was in and out..  and durant is now questionable?  maybe just how they're phrasing it..  but this whole durant saga just gets weirder and weirder.

When the guys at the park don't pick you on their team- Smart Water- You may be salty, but this water's not.

Seth and Ben are both in the lineup tonight.

man. curry 0-3 so far. at least he keeps firing so far though. I know hes been bad but I feel like we should have him taking more than 3 shots a game.

Kork, Ben, and Thybulle in. jesus.... good luck scoring Joel. our only hope

nm Ben actually made a layup!
