Frankly I just don’t think their bench is very good without shake. Maxey is a rookie so he’s going to have ups and downs as the season goes along. Howard makes some of the dumbest fouls and mistakes. Korkmaz is way too inconsistent game to game. I like joe but he’s likely going to have ups and downs like maxey. Next year joe and maxey should be more consistent which helps long term. Thybulle is a good defender but offensively has the same issues he had at Washington. He really is what Andre Robertson was with OKC

But I felt like for a while you need to get Danny Green out of your starting lineup. If you have him coming off the bench and you have a more consistent score/shooter as your fifth starter it improves your starting lineup and it improves your bench. That’s what the Sixers need. They are one really good scorer/shooter away from being an elite team. I think they’re a good team I don’t think they can beat the elite teams out of the west nor the nets with the roster they currently have constructed. They need another scorer.

Not sure how they’re going to do that because your best trade chip is Ben Simmons and I think you need him to play against the opposing teams best offensive player cause it’s usually a guard or wing. And you really likely have to give up Danny Green in a trade because he is a expiring contract to match salaries to get that guy in. They are going to need to make a trade to get that scorer but then pick up somebody during the buyout. I’d love to get a Ellington in here off the bench and get someone like lavine (unlikely) or Hield (more realistic).

It was good in the beginning of the season because Shake was on fire.  Maxey was on fire.  And even Mike Scott was shooting well.  It had a ton of scoring pop.

Now Shake can't hit a 3. Maxey gets less minutes and isn't getting his shots to fall as much.  And Scott has been injured most of the season but will most likely be right back to sticking anyway.

But Danny Green is anything but consistent also.

Tomorrow night is going to be ugly.

Wasn’t the same said before the Lakers game? This team has a way of losing games they should probably win, then stepping up against the best teams.

We seem to think this team is much better with Doc, and more shooters, Embiid at an MVP level, better bench players (though its not been too good lately)

Unfortunate reality is last season's suck team had a better record at this point in the season.

We have a lot of good players but they are good at one thing and only one thing

I would be shocked if Ben and Tobias are All Stars. To me Joel is carrying the team and so many better players in the East.

Kyrie Irving said he told James Harden earlier in the week that Harden will be the point guard of the Brooklyn Nets, and Irving will play shooting guard.

"We established that, maybe, four days ago now. I just looked at him and I said 'you're the point guard, and I'm gonna play shooting guard.' And that was as simple as that," said Irving following the Nets' 134-117 win over the Warriors.

Harden finished with 16 assists on the game, in addition to 19 points.

Irving scored 15 points, while Durant added 20 points.

"He's been taking control of responsibilities and doing an incredible job," added Irving of Harden.

Ok.  And?

All I heard for months was that James was this selfish ball hog and Ben was this transcended facilitator so will remind people that Ben is just Draymond Green 2.0

What does Harden have to do with Ben?  Or the Sixers for that matter.

Oh....you wanted us to make that trade?  Give up what the Nets were dumb enough to do.  Is that what you are saying?

Before that game I said it would be a good test. I think sixers have little chance to win tonight.

Insanely dumb idea.  If the Sixers did that both Harden's and Embiid's careers would start the decline within a few years of each other.  And Embiid's decline won't be gradual.  Then we would be left with a fat, old guard, an oft injured 7 footer and no 1st round draft picks for a long, long time.  I'll use Harden's whole career as a barometer of the kind of player he is and will be in the playoffs.  You go ahead and use a months worth of regular season games to determine that he's changed.

Rumor has it, Harden is going to start working on these drills.

And who cares what happens 4 years from now when Joel's window is now. Joel doesn't care about those 1st round picks. You worry about the future later when you have a legit chance at a title.

Bucks didn't care about them to get Jrue, Nets didn't care about them to get Harden, Lakers didn't care about them to get AD, and bet Warriors will gladly trade away Wiseman and T Wolves 1st round pick to get Steph some help like Beal.

Or go look at the Celtics, keeping all those picks and see how that worked out.

Be happy with your 2nd round exit

I will.  I’ll be happy watching Harden fail again....as well.

I wonder if the rumors are true that Ben went into a shell because Booker said something about the Jenner chick.  He was aggressive in the 1st half and then I think only scored 2 in the 2nd half and then stopped guarding Booker.

Sisterhood 6ers have inquired about DeLong Wright, and George Hill.

Doc was brutally honest about the bench the other night saying they haven't been good lately.

sixers need a backup point guard.  maxey is too green.  shake can fill that role, but if he's injured...  we get the bench we have now.  curry is a 2 guard.  furk is what he is, not a pg.  you're great at defense, tisse..  but, no.  lord help us if dwight ever has to dribble.

i can see why they are looking for one and have probably been looking this whole time.

let's hope they can also find a stretch 4/5 too. *cough*bjelica*cough*

Shake isn't a ball handling guard though, he is better off ball. His assist to turnover ratio is 1.5.

Patty Mills, George Hill, Garrett Temple, Delon Wright, Lonzo Ball, Thomas Satoransky, Ish Smith, Tre Jones

The B movie they made about his life is worth watching even with the bad acting. Shame he died at 41.

If we trade Kork or green and a pick for whoever cool. But don't do another harris type trade getting rid of all our young talent. It takes time to develop. I'm tried of seeing guys like holmes etc be good elsewhere.

One of the PGs

Maybe Blake Griffen if bought out. I know he washed but shooting 36.5 from 3 is still solid for what we need.

If not,  Bjelica

Then we are set.

Not sure want to see Drummond go to the Celtics. Joel owns him, but is better than Tristan Thompson and Theis.

I'm sure his metrosexual shorts will be tiny enough to do the thigh clapping drill.
