Comparing those two players is laughable. One can get his shot whenever he wants and the other forgot basketball involves shooting a ball. Tatum is elite.

players can have different skills (which werent compared) and be on the same tier (which was the actual comparison).

tatum would be a really good fit w/ embiid. he's had a great season & i'd take him over ben every day of the week.

with simmons' pg minutes out of the lineup, we're bound to see a lot more neto going forward!

2 possibilities come to mind.

It will likely be an aging, injured and overpaid John Wall who will leave us even more cash strapped. But Brand likes the flashy splash name moves and no one knows how to assess team fit.

Or theyll try to sell us on a youth package like Ntilikina and Knox both of whom they liked in those drafts.

If we are hitting re-set, we need Hinkie back. But that wont happen.

That Knicks package would be straight garbage. Both of them have flopped like dead fish in the league.

yeah tatum always looked like a good fit for the team.

Neto may be my next jersey. He is now an integral part of our run for a championship this year.

yep

Frank N was always a project type of prospect. Im not sure what happened to Knox though. He looked really promising as a scorer in his rookie year.

embiid is already at an all-nba level. and you hope that a new coach would light a fire under his azzz & motivate him even more. he's looked dominant in the bubble so far.

every player has weaknesses and comes with risk...but jojo has produced on the court.  with ben, we're all still hoping he'll develop a jumpshot but wasting the peak years of embiid waiting for it to happen.  spoiler alert...it won't ever happen.

make me gm...i'll move ben for a proven guy like a beal, booker mccollum type who is ready now.

This exactly. One huge component to building around Embiid is bringing in a new coach to see if someone else is able to bring out the best in him. He’s already a top center in the league, despite his weaknesses. So if someone can get/keep him motivated, and make sure he understands HOW he is expected to play within the offense, he’s be even better.

Brown’s biggest downfall (well aside from his head scratching rotations, timeout use, etc) is he is too much of a player’s coach. Need to bring in someone who Embiid/the rest of the team respects, but who also isn’t a total pushover like BB.

guys...good news! mike scott is available to play tonight.

all problems solved!

taking on old friends ennis & fultz...and older friends vucecvic, & mcw tonight.  ennis has been starting for them, btw.

The NBA is considering the possibility of bringing the eight teams who didn't participate in the restart to Orlando for a minicamp and scrimmages, sources tell Sam Amick of The Athletic

Six teams will leave Orlando at the end of the restart and the beginning of the playoffs.

The NBPA has been skeptical of any basketball setting that doesn't replicate the conditions the NBA created in Orlando.

The first round will begin on August 17th with the start of the second round and the addition of family members beginning on September 1st.

I have to admit, I might be more interested in watching the non-playoff scrimmages than a 6ers first round series.

Kings have a terrible GM so Fox and Buddy for Ben and Josh

Kings seem better than us now with Brand, and with Colangelo. We only took advantage of them with Hinkie.

They got one over on us most recently when Bjelica reneged saying hew as going overseas and then signed with SAC instead.

Of course karmic justice has been served. Hes not producing like he was before he signed his free agent deal. Man that year it woulda been so much better to have him instead of horrible, horrible Muscala. That was such a downgrade it may have really held the team back.

Man I like Burks. Shake has been decent since that crap first game, but I think right now you need to consider Burks as your starter. He scores and has made some nice passes. Only one assist but had some great passes that the shot was just missed on

Also Horford looks good... maybe it was Ben he couldn’t play with, and not Embiid. Spacing looks sooooo much better. If Harris wasn’t having an awful game shooting they’d be up a half dozen at least.

Without people sagging off Simmons, Joel was just about to get doubled rather than tripled. Nice!

I know they’re currently down 4 but I’m pretty encouraged by what I’m seeing. The flow of the offense just looks much better to me, they’re just missing shots, including Harris’ ice cold first half. I kind of like Horford and Embiid in the front court now that we don’t have Ben keeping the paint clogged.

It’s been so long with the season put on hold, but if I remember correctly they’re 0-2 against Orlando this year, so they generally have struggled with them. They’re fairing pretty well right now. I think they will pull this one out if Burks takes the majority of PG minutes in the final 14 minutes here.

Matisse the block then the jam on the other end. Up 4 now. Really liking this current lineup.

Can you imagine if we had some legitimate scoring threat at PG instead of Shake?

Maybe not a long term solution but I’m really liking Burks in that spot right now. If he starts taking the majority of PG minutes we could have a little something going here.

Burks was averaging like 17 ppg or something like that with GSW this year before we traded for him. He should be getting a lot of minutes to score for us. I think he had an injury or something and just didnt have a lot of time before the corona stuff shut down the league. That acquisition should continue to shine for us.

Here is one of my huge issues with Brown... why the timeout here? The team has started to get into a groove, going from being down 4 to up 4, now he takes a timeout to kill his own team’s momentum. Now watch they’ll run an awful play out of the timeout, and Orlando will start a run.

he probably thought it was imperative to make one of his very strictly timed substitutions regardless of game script as always.

Seemed like Horford got facemasked on his attempt. No call.

Yeah, that was a nice hustle play for Horford. Thought he should have got the call. I’ve been impressed with him tonight. And just as I say that he drains a 3.

Hard to say based on one game, but starting to look like Simmons may have been what has held Horford’s game back.

some in here have long said he actually holds the entire offense back. He did just start winning me over when his defense became elite as last season went on. But in the bubble we havent gotten that. And of course his offense is still a detriment to him and everyone else.

Id love to see Shayock in some of these games. The team seems to be shooting well as a whole. And Shayock is just a natural born scorer. I bet he can be averaging 50.

Burks another 3! Man, this dude needs to start at the point as long as he’s playing this well.

On another note, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with Embiid suddenly looking much better with passing out of the double team. He just had a beauty of a pass to Richardson when he got doubled, unfortunately JRich missed the shot. Still a nice look. Could also be a result of Simmons not being his PG.
