This Orlando team has given us fits recently. Fornier always seem sot kill us. In fact, Orlando has won the last 2 previous meetings between us.

Now without our best perimeter defender in Simmons, we win. Interesting.

8 assists 1 turnover for Shake.

Hes not involved in the scoring much but 8:1 assist:turnover ratio, Ill take that any day.

Yeah... I think Ben’s lack of offense more than offsets his defense. I shouldn’t be surprised that they have looked better overall with him out of the lineup.

Yeah, that was a nice hustle play for Horford. Thought he should have got the call. I’ve been impressed with him tonight. And just as I say that he drains a 3.

Hard to say based on one game, but starting to look like Simmons may have been what has held Horford’s game back.

Last time he played this well Ben was suspended and he went off against Phoenix. I don’t think it’s possible to have Simmons, embiid and horford all on the court together and be overly successful

Didn’t even think about that but I do remember that game. Ben being at the point just killed spacing so much. Having actual guards running point who can/will shoot has really opened things up. If they keep looking like this going forward, I don’t see how Brand can’t see that Simmons being traded is in the best interest of the team.

Again, Brand wanted to trade him a  year or 2 ago and Ownership said no. I think Brand kinda knows. We need him to get the seal of approval.

OKC was favored tonight. And lost. Cant be dropping games they should have. Thats horrible news. I shouldnt have looked while riding the high off a win for the 6ers...

Well either way, if they keep performing at this level without him it needs to be noticed by everyone in the organization. The offense looked so much better tonight, and that’s with Harris not having a very good shooting night.

Said it before, but also have to really give Jojo credit for the way he’s been handling double teams, passing it out when he needs to. He had a couple real nice dishes out of double teams that should have been assists if the shots weren’t missed.

Only reason I remember it is because I was at that game. And l Horford was unconscious and my friend and I looked at each other like where the hell did this come from. Frankly if Horford still looks good after the next couple games I still try to trade him this off-season. I don’t think he can continue that up for an entire season at 34 I’d rather have the opportunity to get out of that contract if he’s playing well.

Episode 7 tonight

What are you guys thoughts on Fultz? Did we make the right decision?

Partially.

Yes he probably wasn't going to develop here.  Seems like a mental case that needed a new atmosphere.

But Brand had a deal in place and let them dictate / change their mind about who we got in return.  Shoulda had Terrence Ross. Ended up with no salvageable players in that deal. We basically got nothing because brand was being a super nice guy in negotiations.

I said it this time last year...the Sixers have reached that point of realization.  The foundation they built isn’t going to support a title team.

Keep Ben & Embiid and hope they learn to play together.  Trade Embiid for diluted assets and hope Ben learns a jump shot. Trade Ben for diluted assets and hope Embiid stays healthy enough with some perimeter shooting for an underdog run at a title.

None of those options are going to end well.  They’ve made so many wrong decisions to get to this point that now, finally, there is no good decision to make.  Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

At this point, I don’t see any reason not to just do nothing.  Enjoy the ride...wins, losses, ups, and downs with the competitive but fatally flawed team they built over the next couple years and just let them all peacefully drift into the ground.

But at least start with a real GM.  The last 2 have been embarrassments.  You know Hinkie 100% would have taken Porter in that draft.

The NBA is telling teams that they're priority for the 20-21 season is to play 82 games with fans in the arenas for as many as possible.

Those conversations are ongoing and evolving.

The NBA has told teams that the plan remains to start on Dec. 1, but would only push back the start if there is a level of confidence that a delay would result in reopening games to the public. If the NBA delays the start of the season, it could be pushed back to Martin Luther King Day on July 18th, or even February or March.

Someone needs to tell them that MLK day isn't in July

Simmons is leaving the bubble to go have surgery.

Hope this doesnt prevent a trade from happening.

I dont know when it is but that post really didnt make sense with the timeline. Planning to start in December and potentially delaying it until July or even February? Thats a yuge delay!

A the silver lining in this is if horford winds up playing better with Simmons out then you likely could figure out a trade with him as well. I’m hoping he starts playing like he did yesterday more often.

more on the surgery

Again, how the F do they say clean MRI day to day when he actually chipped a piece of bone with this subluxation? Horrible.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2903702-ben-simmons-trade-rumors-cavs-believe-they-have-enticing-package-for-76ers

According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, the Cavs believe they may have an "enticing" trade package to bring Simmons to Ohio this offseason:

"But the Cavs believe they have enough to assemble an enticing package, especially with recent first-rounders littering the roster, a top six pick coming in October and a future first from the Milwaukee Bucks.

"Those picks, combined with one of the young guys and some salary filler, is a good start. It’s also why the Cavs have spent the first few years of the post-LeBron era stockpiling assets. In any potential trade discussion, the Cavs would cling tightest to Kevin Porter Jr."

A top 6 pick sounds nice and they have 2 high picks at PG in Sexton and Garland but Im not sure either has shown enough yet to get me pumped about that package.

I’d need porter in the deal to pull the trigger on anything. He’s got the most upside imo of any player they have. I’d likely ask for top 6 pick, garland/section, porter and likely have to take some money back in some contracts.

There's upside with a Sexton, Porter, draft pick package.  But its also pretty likely to turn out horribly too.

There's gotta be better deals( more proven players) than that that other teams would offer.

Cleveland really isn’t my ideal trade partner. I think you could get better packages from other teams with draft picks than Cleveland. I still think There’s a team out there that would give up more than anything Cleveland could offer.
