Only took trading for Hill to put Shake off ball more. Shake was never was a natural ball handler nor distributor, but they tried to force it and keep Maxey on the bench.

Feel like they wasted 48 games trying to put a round peg thru a square hole and 48 games of Maxey not getting minutes as the backup lead guard.

Maxey did have games early on where he handled the ball for the bench unit.  But stubborn Doc put him in the doghouse and took all of his playing time away.

Not for nothing but is it just me or does Matisse have sneaky athleticism?  We don't really think of him as a high flyer but the kid can elevate.

He has a surprisingly quick burst when he takes off in transition too.

Embiid is backkkkk

I turned it on. Embiid is sitting. Simmons is missing layups.

It looked like Mike Scott broke that mans leg. But, hes up.

Tobi is NBA JAM on fire right now to finish this one for the 6ers.

If we do trade simmons, I want somebody like jalen suggs not cj mccollum.

i think you have to be concerned that morey wont bring any more star talent on this squad because if he wont do it with the rockets, he wont do it with the sixers. we are just going to be a playoff bound team and not a championship team like the rockets were.

What star player was available besides harden who wasn't coming here due to moreys past relationship? His offer included Ben and others. Another team has to be willing to trade their players too.

Yep. We're the best team we could be with depth. I don't know what else you could do.

It’s tough to say what Stars are going to be available in the near future. Beal is about the only one that is definitive in saying is in a bad position that could want out. You also have to look at some stars whose contract is coming up relatively soon. Maybe one of those teams is willing to trade him because they are scared he’s just gonna leave but i haven’t looked to see if there’s one that’s realistic in acquiring and wants to be here to make that trade and risk him leaving when his contract expires to make that deal

We need George Hill on the floor so Ben can sit a couple of games.  A triple single at home against the Grizz?  Either Ben's knee is still sore or his legs are just gone because of the schedule and his effort on defense.  Could be neither, I dunno,  but dude ain't right.

If i remember the interviewee correctly i believe Kevin O’Connor was discussing Ben on WIP this past week and thinks his knee might be bothering him and he’s trying to play through it. Also believed that the sixers not getting another stretching at the deadline might backfire. Believes with Ben you don’t want Howard on the floor together for long stretches cause Howard clogs up the lane so he can’t do what he does best. That said Ben even when they have Howard not starting has had issues during this stretch without embiid

Also beal has stated he hasn't and doesn't want to be traded. Bulls just traded pieces to go with lavine....so where.are the stars? The problem is ben and him not becoming the star that is needed.

I think the longer the wizards continue losing and not being competitive eventually he’ll ask. Problem is we don’t know when that time is gonna hit. Maybe he pulls a lillard and stays but lillard was at least getting to the playoffs and even won some rounds. The wizards have just been awful. I tend to think at some point in time they are going to trade him. The issue is you don’t know when that’s coming. It might be next year and it might not be until 2022-23. Not sure of the Sixers can or want to wait that long

like you said there’s not a lot of stars that are on the market. Zach Lavine might be if Chicago still bad next year because he needs a contract extension. However i don’t think Lavine is some star where he elevates you to top dog if you do a Simmons for Lavine. I think the sixers would need Lavine added to what they already have with Harris, embiid and Simmons to put them over the top.

At least the nets also lost

the rest of this month outside of OKC is just brutal (kind expect curry to play the warriors game). Even atlanta isn’t a gimme. They always give us trouble and they are actually playing well. The schedule sucks that the sixers 10 of 12 on the road and the only home games were back to backs

also the nuggets with Michael porter jr. playing the way he is are going to be a really tough out in the playoffs.

Only scored more than 20 once in last 9 games, but scored less than 10 3 times.

@JayEchodo you have any good articles on why this is?!?!

Well, Ben blames altitude, and Doc complains about the schedule. And, Im not seeing the accountability that was lacking under Brett Brown. Just a bunch of whiners who have excuses for lack of effort.

Like I said a couple days ago, unless they win a title this year (and frankly if they do, it’s almost certainly because Embiid carries them to it), then Ben 100% needs to be traded in the offseason before he damages his value even further.
