Just saw a clip from espn after the portland game. Neither analyst (some lady sports writer and Kendrick Perkns) thought its time to split up Embiid and Simmons. But Perkins says we need to get Ty Lou as coach.

It doesn't matter.  Might as well keep them both and just go down with the ship.

You aren't winning with Embiid or Simmons, alone, as the centerpiece.  On the infinitesimally small possibility that Ben develops a jump shot and becomes a scoring threat, they'll be better off having both of them.  We know it's not happening, but it's probably easier and less controversial to just make no moves at this point.  And then just keep shuffling the deck chairs with the back court.

WOW!!! Fing sucky Muscala finally hits a shot for the 6ers!

Alright, now we can start guessing how the Sixers use it to dump Horford’s contract.

No sports are a better option than watching the NBA at this point.  The Phillies narrowly edge out the Sixers as a better follow right now.  And I'd rather spend my time watching a live webcam of the empty ice re-treatment after it had been graced with the Flyers skates than either the 6ers or Phillies games.

Shamet was a great pick. Thybulle is looking promising. But yeah... no trades won. Big Butler trade got botched when they insulted him and made him want to leave. Harris trade Im ok with but arguably overpaid in the trade. In turn, let go of Shamet who was a successful pick. They then took pennies on the dollar in the Butler sign and trade since Richardson has been extremely underwhelming. Much less than advertised. And finally, you have the horford disaster.

Draft day trades are giving picks away for cash considerations. Never obtaining future picks. Sometimes they dont even get cash considerations, they literally give picks away.

Then you have Zhaire Smith for Mikal Bridges trade.

Theyre ok drafting. But horrible trading players, horrible trading picks, and horrible signing FAs.

I had a 76 dollar free bet from betting a dollar on the lakers game last night. I just placed a parley for 6ers and Clippers to win tonight to win 95 bucks. When does the 6ers implosion begin in this game?

It’s basically been like that in 76ers history since trading away Moses

Is ty Lou bringing Lebron with him?

So, playing the Celtics with half an Embiid.  I'm sure that's going to go swimmingly.

awesome!

that was from the fultz trade, right?  so we wound up getting a 1st round pick for him after all?

Yes.  If it didn't convey from being top 20 protected, the Sixers would have gotten 2 2nd round picks instead.

nice!

and i only watched the first 3 quarters yesterday...but i thought they looked pretty good playing w/o ben...much better spacing. if embiid stops being a wuss, they could get past boston.

I still don't get giving up the #1 pick for absolutely nothing because he was a headcase. Let him step away from basketball for a year and get him help but don't just get anything of value for him.

It was actually to clear up cap space to sign guys and make a move in free agency like being able to sign horford and re-sign tobias. Also that Okc pick is cause of that trade. I believe the rumor was they had a choice of ross or Simmons and that first. That first is nice now but frankly ross might have been the difference in that series last year with the raptors

I had a dream last night. It was the offseason. We traded Horford to Boston. For Theis, Ojeleye, and cash considerations.

And look at Fultz now. They should have told him to just go away for a year and get your mind right. Another F up

I mean they did do that his rookie year. And he still came back with the same issue. Frankly I don’t think it was ever going to work in Philadelphia because I don’t think mentally he could play here. He can say whatever he wants but I think a large portion of it was way too high expectations that he mentally could never live up to and the fans of Philadelphia would eat him alive. In Orlando he has no pressure whatsoever and nobody cares. If the Sixers would’ve gotten Terrence Ross I much would’ve preferred Terrence Ross then fultz. Ross could be a legitimate six man on this team and give the Sixers a huge boost

We are trading Ben for Bradley Beal.  This offense would be fire.

I don’t know. I think they would still need a Point Guard. I don’t think shake is a starting caliber NBA Point Guard. I think he’s fine as a back up. We also need somebody that could defend on the perimeter. For all of Ben’s flaws in before he went into the bubble, he’s an elite defender on the wing. That something if you trade Simmons away you have nobody else on this team that is that type of defender on the wing or guards

I havent even begun digging in to NBA draft stuff yet but Im really excited to have this 1st round pick now because I think we might have a chance to get a PG.

Within range of 21 on tankathon

20. Kira Lewis

22. Theo Maledon

23. Tyrell Terry

24. Nico Mannion

27. Trey Jones

Long way to go to see where these guys get picked but as of now we are in a pretty hot spot for a PG.

I can speak on Nico Manion as I’ve watched him a ton, had Arizona coaches talk to me and some scouts that talk to my friend who covers the team at 24/7. You don’t want Nico. He’s not strong enough. And there’s a believe he will never get to the point of being strong enough.  He’s a huge liability on defense. His shooting is not nearly as good as Arizona coaches or scouts thought when he came to Arizona. He was a top 10 nba draft player when he came to Arizona and leaving there’s people who think he might not even be in the first round. Usually I have Arizona coaches and my friend who works for 24/7 as hyping up Arizona guys. They were really down on him as an NBA prospect compared to when they begin recruiting him and when he came to Arizona. The best player on that wildcats team was the least heralded freshman in Nnaji. From what I’m told a lot of scouts like him not as a star player but a good role player that finds himself in the league for about 10 to 12 years.  I would bet he has a better career than Nico in the NBA. Josh Green the Australian kid, I think he’s going to be a lot like what we thought Zhaire Smith could be. Except he has more experience playing shooting guard but I don’t think he’s a very good shooter. I don’t know if you watch Arizona basketball but the guy that I was told he reminds coaches of is Nick Johnson but with higher upside then Nick Johnson

Horford for Hield speculation continues.

Have to imagine we have to include our OKC 1, or Richardson in the deal. Hield wants to start.

Vlade is an idiot so the perfect partner and throw in Holmes please.

I would take hield in a heartbeat and I’d be thrilled. If they wanted to include Harrison Barnes and hield for Horford and Richardson  and some others to make it work I do it in a heartbeat. I don’t like Barnes contract but I think he and hield are way better fits for what you want to do. And one of them could be the sixth man off the bench and the Sixers bench would actually be good
