You guys will have your hands full with ATL. They’re finally healthy. This is young, deep team. Good luck. I’m rooting for the Sixers. Young is a pest and the rest of the team is extremely mouthy.

Atlanta has really good young talent and size. Trae young is the smallest guy in their starting lineup at 6’1. Bogdonavic is 6’6, Hunter is 6’7, Collins 6’9 and capela at 6’10. They also have like 9 guys in double figures scoring average. And they don’t even have reddish right now. When you have a bench of gallinari, huerter, Lou Williams and reddish that’s pretty dang good. I think it really depends on embiid and how he plays. If he’s not mvp form the hawks can beat the sixers. They are great at home and getting better on the road.

at 0:50 in the video, an athletic trainer pops in to the frame carrying an AED. Its the same AED I carry with me at my school. I got it because it was literally the cheapest AED you can possibly get. Why the hell do the 76ers have the same one?

Id guess they went with a steroid injection. PRP is likely better long term (doesnt matter so much because he will probably get it fixed anyway), but steroid will provide faster pain relief.

For the sake of time, steroid would seem to be the most sensible choice. And since surgery may be the end result, you dont need to worry which injection type has the better long term effect. The long term result will be achieved by surgery.

Is a peptide called BPC157 has shown the ability to regrow tendons, but not sure the legality of that.

I doubt anyone is doing that in the USA. It is experimental, and there are no studies showing effectiveness in humans. Not only is it not FDA approved in humans, there is no regulatory agency in the world yet that approves it.

The other issue is that its being synthetically produced and included in supplements.

One of the reasons PRP is legal is because it is drawn from your own body, and put back in. A synthetic peptide isnt coming from your own body.

It is not on the WADA list of banned substances yet. But it could pop up on there at any time. There is already a urine test to detect it.

I seriously doubt the 6ers would send him for that.

A synthetic peptide is a chain of amino acids and BPC 157 is found in the stomach. It is know for healing gastric tract.

I have used it and know it works, but no idea if on NBA banned list.

Embiid is gonna play.

It's found in the body.  But what you're using hasn't been drawn from your own body. That's the advantage PRP has in getting approved by anti doping agencies.

You can say it works but that's not scientifically proven in humans yet.  It's experimental.

I'd bet it's going to be popping up on banned substance lists pretty soon. At least till there is good research being it in human trials.

The more rest for JoJo, the better. You figure game 2 would be on Tuesday and game 3 on Friday. I don’t think we see him any earlier than game 3. In that case, he’d have had 11 days off at that point.

Possible. I feel game one is huge for the sixers. Don’t want to be down 0-1 needing game 2 and might be forced to play embiid earlier. Especially don’t want to go down 0-2 to the hawks going back to atlanta where they are 28-11 and 19-2 in their last 21 games at home.

Do we know when the start time will be released for game 1? I know they’re saying Sunday, but hoping it isn’t an afternoon game.

I think it’s going to depend on if the clippers take it to a game 7.

He had his game where he plays hard to prove the "haters” wrong.  Now he’ll go back into his shell until he starts hearing fan criticism again, then he’ll put together another good game. Rinse and repeat.

the simmons apologists are as soft as he is. they need to keep that steppford wife mentality over in the flyers fanbase.

We won last night, right?

oh sorry, i didn't know we couldn't discuss a whiny social media post from a player, put up after said win.

As Doc says, let him know if you want him to bench him so he knows you know nothing about basketball.

We won, and Ben was a leader on the court.  That's all I care about.  Oh, and he was 5-8 from the line.

if the three point shooters can hit we are tough to stop.

but someone please explain to Matisse that he is not a good three point shooter....

calm down steppford, nobody said anything about benching him. that's a lazy dismissive response to legit criticisms. i'm a simmons fan, and i want the team to win it all with "him",  but i can also admit his shortcomings.

oh and yeah, that's right, they won and he did what he "should do" as a star & a leader, but don't act like a baby after the fact. its the only reason this discussion is happening.

truth !

the wizzards seemed to only be able to hold that lead last night until the outside shooting heated up for the sixers which was helped when matisse stopped shooting 3's.

Yeah, his three point shot is something he really needs to work to develop. If he can get it to even just being an average shooter he’d be such a hugely valuable piece.
