Fing A… is a 330pm or a night game too much to ask for?

But he isn't and won't be. I would argue Thybulle is a better defender on the Sixers

Thybulle in just 20 mins a game has 1.6 steals, 1.1 blocks, defensive RAPTOR 4.9

Simmons in 32 minutes has 1.6 steals, 0.6 blocks, defensive RAPTOR 2.0

i do love his defense though.

According to "RAPTOR", Ben Simmons is the 41st best defender, tied with Ivica Zubac and Richaun Holmes  JFC you can't be serious

All you have to do is watch the game.  Ben can literally guard 1-5 and lock down his guy.  Gobert is obviously an elite paint defender, but he doesn't have near the versatility of Ben.  You don't need stats to show how great Ben is on defense.  Knock his offensive game all you want but he is a top if not the top defender in the league.

Random question.  Who is harder to guard one one one, Beal or Harden?

Harden...better 3 point shooter and because he is surrounded by a better cast of characters

We will see with Trae this series.

He was better when he was with Houston as well. Harden is on the best 1v1 basketball players of all time.

Nets allow Harden to play Rockets versions when he plays with the bench and that lineup might be the difference in the Bucks series.

I don't know, Beal was pretty unreal this season.  He has a different pace than Harden but he had a hell of year and is bonafide 3 level scorer.  He's not the distributor that Harden can be though.

The only and I say ONLY reason we still have a chance to get to the ECF's is because they didn't let up and got the number 1 seed.  If the Sixers had to play either the Nets or Bucks without Embiid or a hobbled Embiid, we would have ZERO chance.  Which is what sucks......even if we somehow beat the Hawks.....we are losing in the ECF unless Embiid grows a new Meniscus somehow.

Harden seems a tad bit slower this year but still has a ton of moves in his arsenal.  Beal is more methodical and never picks up his dribble.  Beal was good practice for Harden, if we play the Nets.

I'd imagine the Hawks will try their best to get Trae switched onto Curry.  Hawks have more size than the Wizards, but the Sixers are equally as big.  They'll be a lot tougher of an out than the Wizards and their 3 guard lineups which the Sixers just exploited with size.  If Embiid plays I see a 5-6 game series.  If not it could be a dog fight.  Hawks and Trae have been playing some good ball.

I have trouble respecting anyone's game when they pull the crap that Harden and Young do, just trying to draw fouls.

I’d also add while beal is good at getting fouls, harden might be the best in the league at drawing the contact and getting the foul called. It’s one of the most frustrating things to watch when he’s playing against you. To his credit he’s mastered it.

To think he isn't, then you don't watch basketball. He can get the rim at will and his step back 3 is un-guardable.

I didn't say best ever, I said one of the best.

Ben will need to use his size to fight to get over the screen or Trae will eat Curry alive.

So why does one of the best 1v1 players of all time need to resort to tricks? (I know you aren't the one that said that)

Sorry - not a fan

Got to also factor in Hunter only played 23 games during the regular season. He played i believe 5 games since feb 1st to the end of the regular season. He’s been getting better with every game the hawks have played. I also think you have to win your home games in this series. As great as the sixers are at home, the hawks are really good and we’re nearly unbeatable the last 3 months of the season. They were 19-2 at home since February. The sixers are a solid road team but you really don’t want to be in a position where it’s a must win game on the road against a great home team.

I’d also point out the hawks since March 1st have been one of the better defenses in the league. The Knicks aren’t nearly as talented as the hawks or sixers but the hawks had the Knicks averaging 97 points per game in that series. That’s still really hard to do considering in today’s nba
