Maxey's emergence has been awesome.  Can't wait to see what the future holds for this kid.  Only 20 years old and not shrinking in the playoffs.  In fact he's forcing the hand of a notoriously tough on rookies coach to get him play time.

Just before this series Doc pointed out how he improved his game by doing what he was best at, less.

His strength, that he almost exclusive relied on early in the season was his floater.

By the end of the season instead of stopping short of the basket and floating it, he would continue his drive and find a pass, or actually go all the way to the basket with the ball which began getting him trips to the FT line, or making teammates better.

What the hell is he talking about? They werent even close. Even with Embiid out they werent even close. The ONLY reason they won ONE game is because Embiid got hurt and its a lot harder to adjust to that mid-game. Once the 6ers had a practice without Embiid they were able to dominate again in the very next game.

Sunday game 1

Thursday game 2

All the rest of the games will be every other day, according to Tyrone.

That would be huge for Embiid. Lots of rest for him. Sit him out game 1 and have him ready to go Thursday. Seems like a crazy amount of time tho between game 1 and 2…

I think thats even more reason to play him game 1.  He will get 4 days rest.

I really hope he plays in game 1. If at all possible. You cant rest him as a luxury. You cant afford to potentially spot Atlanta a 1 game lead before you bring him back.

Yeah. if he can, he HAS to. You cant look at this as, well you could play BUT if we just skip this one game its this many more days of rest.

That kind of thinking can lose us the series.

in his defense, he may have already gotten high to start his off-season.

Wow that’s a crazy schedule but works in the sixers favor

I would think it would come down to how much is he favoring the knee. Cause if he is playing and trying to protect that knee it's just going to lead to other leg injuries.

AD is exhibit A. Dumb ass was playing on a knee that wasn't ready for a full run and now he is done and so are the Lakers.

Would hate to see the same fate happen to the sixers from pushing the issue.

The Lakers should be thrilled they won in the bubble because that 4.5 months off worked in their favor with AD. Granted i thought they were the best team prior to the stoppage and would’ve won but it wasn’t a given considering AD’s injury history

Today's NBA....just draft 3 and D guys that are 6'6" to 6'10" and be done.......bigs are too unreliable and get hurt way too much.

Lol the warriors are actually set up really nice to make a trade to add another star to that team. Have Wiggins to match contracts who’s gonna be on an expiring contract after next year, wiseman, Minnesota’s first and their own first which is lottery. I wouldn’t be shocked if they try to add someone to curry, Klay and draymond.

I could see Jacob giving a small small part of ownership when he retires. 450 million to 4 billion isn't a bad return

They would be smart to bring him into the fold. However i thought for sure after Jerry west built that team they’d have treated him better. Plus at the championship parade he completely crushed KD about his contract extension. I don’t think he meant too but it definitely sounded awful

imagine harden (or many other players for that matter) going against the 90's pistons or even the barkley/mahorn sixers. the game is called so differently now.

Jordan offers insight to this

1st round exit for Portland. Theyre just never going anywhere.

Two teams that make the most sense if they trade him or he asks for a trade are Boston and the 76ers. Boston would likely give up Brown and some picks for him and then deal kemba even if they take on bad contracts back. And the sixers if we ultimately fail i could see giving up Ben Simmons and picks to acquire him. He’s one of the the players i think they’d deal Simmons away for.

His own son was a FA for a few months and actually helped win the Nuggets a game, while Tolliver does nothing.

I don't think him and Tatum work at all.

Tatum comes off as a version of Irving where he will take some growing up to do first.

I think Boston would want to make a splash and get another star. Not many stars to choose from. They might not work well together but I’m betting Boston would do that trade to see.

don’t get me wrong i don’t disagree Tatum needs to grow up but i don’t think that means Boston won’t try to make that move if presented

The sixers have some motivation going into the series Shaq proclaiming hawks in 5 with no embiid and Barkley says it’s a pick em

Dame be like I want out

Suns went right after AD to start the game to test out his groin and he left within 5 minutes. I would expect the same thing from the Hawks when Embiid steps on the court to see if he has it.
