This team can absolutely win a ring with Simmons as flawed as he is.

Thing is if played like he did in the second half tonight it would change everything I think

Yeah. Just need to keep improving the bench.

I think the bench should improve with guys just getting older and more experience. Maxey should get better with more experience. Joe and reed if they are as promising as we think should as well. For as much hate that korkmaz gets he’s actually a decent bench player. He has some terrible games but I’d argue this year he’s been more of a plus then a negative for the sixers. Shake is inconsistent but i tend to think he’s not going to be around long cause of maxey. They still have the Trade exception from horford i suspect we will add possibly another wing/shooter. I’d still bring green back on a 1-2 year deal. If anything use his contract to match salaries in a trade.

Idk if there was any point in the second half where the sixers were legitimately outplayed, I think it got sloppy in the last few minutes but that was the case for both sides

I totally forgot about the trade exception. I keep talking about combining Shake and Hill for an upgrade. But then you can use that TPE to replace the other guy since youve made a 2 for 1 trade.  The bench can be very sick.

Also will have an MLE.

I would resign Green as well. He was so much more than I ever expected him to be after watching him in LA, and even Toronto. Hope he can be moved to the bench, but Id take him back either way.

Sure as long as the bench shows up, but flip a coin most nights and that's the problem. It will take more than them showing up for a game or two in a series. Need consistency, which is the issue.

I wish this game was on TNT so we could here the spin from Shaq and Charles.  Probably something like "The Sixers are in trouble because they can't rely on 14 points from Korkmaz every night".  They already established that game two was a fluke because we can't expect 14 from Shake every night.   I've never seen anything like it.  We're a #1 seed where the national talking heads are constantly coming up with excuses and caveats as to why we won.  It's like they've all been infected by Howard Eskin.

Oh well.  Next up, time for Maxey to drop 14+

Not for nothing but how does old man Horowitz manage to get a front row seat even at playoff road games?  :towel::76:

Why do you root for a team with such an obviously racist nickname?

Bench has 40 points tonight. Huge

I mean you had to expect they’d have a couple good games from the bench. They were non-existent the first two games outside of Shake late in game 2. The bench isn’t great but much better than the looked in those games.

This reminded me to mention that Tobias Harris was named one of the finalists for the inaugural Kareem Abdul-Jabaar Award.

Nice!  Ask Munson if he thinks "76ers" is a racist nickname.  I'd love to hear his answer.

Uhh, yep, you know what he's going to have to say if is forced to answer

Anyway, back to bball...

So Ben is now 17-48 from the stripe.  He went 4-8 last night increasing his percentage up to 35% !   There may be hope.

Seriously, there is going to be a point where we are in games 6 or 7 and the score is tight in the last 5 mins.  Either Ben just can't have the ball in his hands at that point or he will need to shoot 67% or so if the Sixers are actually going to be able to win the title.

Ben is shutting down Trae Young.  That’s the difference between Game 1 and Games 2 and 3.

Ben has a TON of positives.  He just can't have the ball at the end of a tight playoff game.

Probably the same after last nights game

Let's get that Stanley Cup!

The national sports media has been trying to hype up the Hawks and it's obvious.  I just hope the talking heads on their respective shows point out that the Atlanta fans cheered when Embiid appeared to re-injure his knee.  They also cheered when he took a hard fall while playing defense.  When he got helped up they went silent.

If that were Philly fans cheering a Trae Young injury we would definitely hear about it.

You know damn well they aren't going to bring it up lmao they didn't even cover trae young getting spit on the same night that sixers fan threw popcorn at westbrook.

Sadly they have a better chance then the Flyers at that.... they play defense lol

In the playoffs embiid has played 201 mins and scored 202 points. That’s over a point per minute. Only player in the playoffs with a minimum of 100 mins to have done so.
