I think the trade from 3 to 1 was really ill-advised and I think a quality GM should have known better.  Even without knowing Fultz would flame out, there wasn't enough margin between the top prospects that year.  Giving up that much to trade up for the guy that ended up being the lesser player, as you said, was horrendous.  Then drafting Zhaire Smith with quality players on the board was another huge whiff.

There were people inside the sixers who didn’t want fultz and Colangelo did anyway. How true that is no one knows. I could see it as the sixers trying to pin it on Colangelo

So much is wrong with this team. Brett Brown is gotta be done after this series.

Also how the hell did Tobias Harris get 180million? He’s not the biggest issue but damn that’s a bad contract.

Did not watch.  Lucky me.  But...I don't care how bad the supporting cast was.  A true 1A franchise player on a contender plus a ragtag group does not lose by nearly 30 to this Boston Celtics team.  Trading Simmons for players to complement Embiid will get you nowhere.

Embiid outscored Tatum. But no one else kept up with Kemba. And the rest of their lineup,  player for player is just better.

Embiid, McCollum and other pieces...  could work.

I'm not sure what more we could have expected from Embiid last night.

I really like Harris but coming up small on both games so far.

Saw a simple trade on another sight. 21 for anfornee simons. Something like that or our seconds and Smith for simons. If we don't trade Ben this should be the route.

during the post game presser, brett said something like....putting a rookie out there on a very good player...and a wing from the blue coats...was just tough.

maybe someone can find his exact wording...but it was odd to hear him sort of complaining about the personnel...i thought he was heavily involved in that stuff.

That’s unfortunately become his Sixers playoff resume theme thus far.

Ya think!?  I can't imagine why having our players run straight into the screen man repeatedly or going behind it and getting stuck on the a** of the ball handler isn't working.

Not sure how anyone can blame Embiid here. He put up 34 and 10. If not for him this game would have been even more embarrassing.

The biggest issue is what it has been for several years now. No guards and poor coaching.

this team is so hard to watch at times. and not very likeable.

He's not wrong but he's completely complicit in this team's awful roster construction.  Is there any back court in the playoffs you wouldn't trade for ours?

Come to think of it, how many teams in the lottery have a back court you would trade straight up for ours?

yep.

it's been more fun watching some of the former sixers playing for other teams in the playoffs...including some process guys....tj, nick vuc, ennis, fultz, tlc, jakaar

all that losing to end up with this mess is pathetic. the sixers became the clippers of the 90's.

he's so open he might as well be shooting from the free throw line.

That’s what I said last night. It’s embiid and sometimes Richardson and the rest is a bunch of trash. Legitimately Shake Milton is starting there is no other playoff team besides maybe the nets due to everyone getting hurt or opting out where he’s even remotely starting. Horford been trash. Tobias Harris has been overrated since coming to the sixers. His clipper half a season is an outlier. This teams roster sucks and it goes back to Colangelo, brown and Elton all have a part in pissing away assets and constructing as mediocre team that’s basically what they were before the process but with a higher skilled big in embiid.

I think Brand needs to be fired too. Signing Horford and Harris to max deals has set the franchise back ten years.

Honestly this reminds me a ton of the Phillies with Matt klentak and Gabe Kapler. Firing Gabe wasn’t the only move they should’ve made. Klentak should’ve been fired as he is the one responsible for the players out there everyday and the team construction being what it was. And Gabe deserved to go because he was a bad manager. This is the same situation. I do not want Elton Brand hiring the next coach knowing he could be fired after next year if the Sixers once again under perform. Fire both start all over with a new front office that picks their coach so you have everything tied together. Additionally I don’t want Elton Brand making trades. Almost everyone of his trades and free agent signings has gone the opposite way

If JT signs with a different team, you'll see a similar backlash for Klentak, especially if Sixto pitches well for the Marlins.

At least part of the problem for Harris is he is really playing out of position when he is playing the 3.  He would be fine as a stretch PF next to Embid.  Putting him at SF puts him at an athletic disadvantage.  Of course Simmons and Horford are PFs too so....

Edit: Just to be clear: Even with a better roster construction, Harris would be overpaid.

have you ever seen another player embiid's size who gets knocked down or falls to the ground as often as he does?  it's crazy. i thought his soccer background would have given him good balance but doode is constantly stumbling around and falling.

More than once, he got out rebounded by smaller players because he was mistiming his jump and misjudging the ball off the rim enough that often on his way down, off balance and reaching when the ball arrived.  I don't know if it was a focus or fitness issue but it was frustrating to watch.  That said, his flaws are last on the list of problems with this team.

In two games "The Process" is officially and we can blow it all up and rebuild starting with the GM and Head Coach.

I don’t see the Sixers trading Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid this offseason. I think they hire a new coach let them try to figure it out for a year. If we’re in the same spot a year later then I think you’re going to see them blow it up. I do think they’re going to try to trade our Horford and possibly Richardson because I don’t think they’re going to extend Richardson
