More than once, he got out rebounded by smaller players because he was mistiming his jump and misjudging the ball off the rim enough that often on his way down, off balance and reaching when the ball arrived.  I don't know if it was a focus or fitness issue but it was frustrating to watch.  That said, his flaws are last on the list of problems with this team.

oh, i agree. it's just something i notice all the time.

pretty much my only criticism of jojo is that he needs to drop 20-25 lbs. that should help his stamina...less wear & tear on his body...and he was a lot quicker when he wasn't carrying this much weight.  if you look at highlights from his first couple seasons, it's blatantly obvious.

I don’t see the Sixers trading Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid this offseason. I think they hire a new coach let them try to figure it out for a year. If we’re in the same spot a year later then I think you’re going to see them blow it up. I do think they’re going to try to trade our Horford and possibly Richardson because I don’t think they’re going to extend Richardson

I'd be ok if they keep Embiid.  Try to build around him.

Simmons needs an entire change of scenery and mindset.

have you ever seen another player embiid's size who gets knocked down or falls to the ground as often as he does?  it's crazy. i thought his soccer background would have given him good balance but doode is constantly stumbling around and falling.

his soccer background actually did help him, with his flopping.

he said he was coached to do that to spread out the force of awkward landings.

But his flop a few days ago almost injured an elbow and his flop last night looked like it coulda been bad too. Hes gotta tone it down.

yeah it is. I remember without needing to look back.

At the same time, I do agree with Brett that hes in his best shape his been in since then. Thats not to see its equal, its not. But hes been back to making some athletic maneuvers lately that we didnt see for about 2 years.

I could live with that.

Id love to see a Richardson + OKC 1st for Hield and either Bjelica or Holmes (or anything that makes the salaries work.)

Then use all assets left to work on PG. Use all 4 2nds to trade up as much as possible. Wont be high, but maybe Trey Jones? Can defend and run an offense even if hes not a dynamo.

Also, use MLE to bring over Micic, or if there is some decent veteran option available for that price.

I could live with watching that team under a new coach. At least till the trade deadline and if it still sucks badly, then maybe its time to make the big Simmons move for more back court and/or wing talent.

I really like Harris but coming up small on both games so far.

19 points a game scorer who disappears in playoffs? Like I said he’s not the biggest issue but he’s definitely not worth a max. Not even close.

Harris is the quintessential good player on a bad team syndrome. People fall in love with him saying well if you got him onto a good team and put in a good situation he would be even better. However when you put him on a good team And around better players he shrinks and isn’t nearly as good as when he gets to be the guy gunning on a bad team. Jerry west wasn’t trading away a championship caliber piece if he had it. He didn’t build the lakers and warriors and forget how to build a title contender.

saw a report that ben to tobi is the #1 assist combo in the league...and ben's absence is really hurting him.

Stat is surprising, but Ill give it the benefit of the doubt. And still say, Harris never had Ben in his career before. Then, Harris has looked really nice since the re-start even in the games without Ben. Hes only disappeared in these last 2 playoff games. He wasnt hurt badly in those regular season games. AND, Harris was brought in mainly due to his shot creation ability. Last thing we needed, or expected him to be was a guy who needed to score assisted buckets to succeed.

Stat may be true, but that effect shouldnt be. And cant be. Its not acceptable. Harris/Brown need to figure it out.

I totally forgot about the lottery tonight. Wolves won 1st pick. They had the 3rd worst record.

Warriors 2

Hornets 3

Bulls 4

Warriors are expected to be shopping their #2 overall pick.

I have not been following this draft class. Anyone special coming out this year?

Don't think so. There's no consensus #1 this year.

And only virtual workouts rather than a legitimate combine coming up,  no college season... really muddied the waters.

If the bucks fall flat I would not be surprised if they try to dangle that pick to the Bucks to get Giannis and package it with someone like Draymond Green.

Funny thing is we wanted Colangelo gone...karma sucks that we got Brown who made that stupid trade draft night and then Brand who is horrible. Of all the people they go with Brand? Utah got Zanik that same year I think. The Jazz aren't perfect, but nobody really wants to go there and they have drafted pretty freaking well. Give Zanik or Lindsey the assets Brand took over with and this team would be light years better.

The reason why they were forced to hire brand was because ownership told whoever was interviewing for general manager that they had to work with the people that were already in place and didn’t want to fire people that Colangelo brought on like Alex Rucker and Ned Cohen as well as brett brown. No general manager with any cache or great success would want to take a job with those restrictions.

Probably true...and idiotic as well. No point in getting rid of Colangelo if they keep the same people he hired.

It’s why ive been saying this goes all the way up the ownership. Ownership is awful and it’s a trickle down effect to the front office to the players.

We agree.

We would pick Wiseman and still have no perimeter scoring or PG.

The fact that lamelo ball is one of the best prospects says it all. He has the same skill set as lonzo.

This was the point when they were trying to get LeBron. Kobe Bryant came out and said it before LeBron even picked a team and said no star player wants to go to a team with a front office that is a mess
