Well they said it's a big question mark on if it can carry over to the NBA . His bro had the same question marks and could launch from distance too. That and his stupid dad already saying who he doesn't want drafting his son.

It’s why ive been saying this goes all the way up the ownership. Ownership is awful and it’s a trickle down effect to the front office to the players.

id call them a train wreck ownership, but that would be an insult to train wrecks.

are they still in talks for the mets ?

oh, i don't want him on the sixers. i was just saying that he's considered a much better shooter than his brother.

What would the Sixers give up for the number 2 pick and would it be worth it? I don't see Simmons as a good fit on GSW since they are already set at PG (Steph) and PF (Draymund). I guess they could try Simmons at the 5 (that may be interesting to see).

Also saw this on bleacher report

The Trade: Chicago Bulls send the No. 4 pick, Lauri Markkanen, Zach LaVine and Coby White to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons

Warriors might actually be a good trade destination for Horford.  Trade one shiddy contract in Horford for one in Wiggins.  With Steph and Klay, Wiggins isn't really necessary.  They get a front court vet on a vet team, we get some guard/wing help.

Hell yes to that Chicago trade.

Don't mind that at all. While he gets bashed for not defending well and never meeting his potential,  we also know he's a heck of a lot better than any wing on our team, at least offensively.

Simmons, Jrich, Wiggins, Harris, Embiid wouldn't be bad.  Oh and a new coach.

ZERO

Worst draft class in a decade plus.

Can you throw in Josh, or Harris or AL.

I think that is a must if trade Ben at this point. They have to get rid of a big contract

No he can't. He shoots 38% from the field and 25% 1.7/6.7 from 3 in Australia. His FT is 72%

He is a much bigger version of Jason Williams

Warriors don't want the 76ers junk. They already said they want guys in the same age bracket as Thompson and curry and a star to win championships now.

I don't think they need a star to win a ring just quality depth like when they had prime Iggy and Shaun Livingston

So if the Sixers and Warriors are interested in doing business who then fits? My best guest is Embiid and the Horford contract but not sure if Wiggins and the #2 in this draft is worth that. Maybe GS also throws in their 2021 Timberwolves pick? In this scenario I feel we are going into a partial rebuild

i'm only going by scouting reports & draft profiles i've read. they list his shooting as a strength.  anyway, i still don't want him.

I don't think the Warriors want a dominant big man. I could see them going back to what made them successful.

A big like Baynes, and just a crap ton of depth.

Killian Hayes should be the target if they somehow get a Top 5 to 7 pick. A prototypical ball handling guard that can shoot well enough to keep the D honest. I think he is a version of Luka. Not nearly as good but play very similar

not really, this is a really weak class but there are quality depth guys. With our cap situation we especially need to hit on quality late 1st early second round guys. We have done a good job with the likes of landry shamet, Matisse, and  Shake (via dallas?), but cheap young depth is necessary otherwise this whole experiment is over. You really cant go wrong with the top rated prospects or the big program guys. Look for the Gary Trent Jrs, Jalen Brunsons, Dillon Brooks etc. Where we pick you need to expect limitations with the players (too small, not athletic, raw skillset, etc.)

If a guy like Aaron Nesmith fell, I would be ecstatic. Also, Cole Anthony is an offensive minded PG option that has fallen out of the lottery on many draft boards...

Early 2nd rounders I am looking at if I am the sixers:

Tre Jones (Duke PG): Tre could have come out earlier but he stayed and I think he is more NBA now because of it. Tre's brother Tyus also went to duke, he was a late 1st round pick who has been a really nice rotational facilitator for Minnesota the last few years. Tre is a much better player... He is an elite defender and a plus facilitator and ball handler. He does not have an above average athletic or physical profile and he has pretty much reached his ceiling, but that is okay because his ceiling is a good rotational guard.

Cassius Winston (Sparty PG): Another undersized PG with limited explosiveness. As a role player, Cassius brings superb court vision and shoots mid and deep at a nice clip. I know character does not win championships, but this is the 2nd round we are talking about and I think it matters. Cassius has that tough philly blue collar mentality and sixers fans love to see those guys do what they do well in their role.

Saddiq Bey (Nova SF/SG): Bey is your typical 3 and D guy. He is a no hesitation knock-down guy from mid and long range (45% 3 point shooter, successfully making 2.5 per game) on the offensive end. On defense he is a scrappy high motor defender who uses his strength and size to contain his man. The one phrase I would use to describe him is "high-motor". Once again, his explosive athleticism/speed is average and he looks uncomfortable in the paint.

Vernon Carey (Duke C/PF): Athletic big man who looks very comfortable in the paint. The word is that he is developing range so he can be more of a prototypical inside-out big man in todays game. All the tools are there, I am not sold on the idea that he lacks explosiveness, I guess it stems from the fact that he is a bit of a tweener.

Of course they will probably get rid of most of our picks and the ones we make will be guys I have never heard of. But hey, writing this post got me through a meeting so it has been a win for me.

Salaries would never match.  They're taking on 55 mil while only coughing up 28 and the 2nd pick salary eventually.  Just thought with the Warriors in win now Horford would offer them a good vet center that might fit their culture.  Plus, his and wiggins salaries and contract length are almost identical.

hmm...🤔 That is one to think about if it materialized, and I am mostly a Ben Simmons guy.

Well yes I agree that is what helped them before but I doubt Horford is the direction they would want to go. When they had bogut he hardly even played cause he was to slow some games he didn't play at all.

TBF he spent a majority of the time with the GSW injured.
