Warriors might actually be a good trade destination for Horford.  Trade one shiddy contract in Horford for one in Wiggins.  With Steph and Klay, Wiggins isn't really necessary.  They get a front court vet on a vet team, we get some guard/wing help.

I actually thought the warriors before the season made sense for horford as they are going to need a center to matchup Against Anthony davis when they got to the postseason. When they completely fell off the rails it made no sense for them to make the trade as they weren’t competing this year. If horford wasn’t brutally bad and at least above average i still think they’d consider it. Now i can’t see it. I also think the warriors believe they can fix Wiggins which likely turns out to be foolish.

Frankly i don’t get why they were in a rush to just deal Russell. I get they got Minnesota’s pick in 2021 but that’s not a given they get it  it’s top 3 protected  and the twolves still play in the west. Where the warriors will be back, Suns look better, Grizzlies should be better and Portland is still Portland. They easily could be a bottom 4 team in the west again

been reports if the bucks fail this year that the warriors were going to make a play for Giannis.

I don't think Horford is as bad as he appears.  He is just a terrible fit for Sixers who never really got him involved.  He'd be a hell of a lot better on a team like the Warriors and their spacing.  Only part that might not fit is the running the floor with them.

i think this team needs a major rebuild not tanking of course, first they need to bring in a gm that understands talent and bring in a coach that brings in accountability and players that are committed to winning, both the gm and coach need a complete evaluation on this whole roster that's committed to winning and working with the coach, whoever doesnt get's traded, i know embiid does but the rest of the roster that's where the evaluation comes.

i think the gm and coach needs to bring their own players that fits with coaches and committed to winning.

the analytics at the end with the celtics before we went after him were trending in the wrong direction and he was starting to have knee issues in 2018-19. Do i think on a better team and with a better coach he’d be better? Yes. How much better is the question. I don’t think enough to justify his 25 million per year average annual salary.

is the draft class really that bad...or do we just not know since the season was cut short & we didn't get to see conference tourneys & march madness?

No it absolutely is bad.

To me:

Anthony Edwards is Andrew Wiggins

Ball is Jason Williams

Wiseman is Hassan Whiteside

Onyeka Okongwu Forward and Killian Hayes are my two favorite players in the draft from upside potential.

Outside of the Top 10 I think are a lot of quality players, but most have weaknesses. Like someone said earlier Tre Jones is a good back up PG that will play 10 years, but will never be a starter.

Hey Hassan Whiteside is fantastic in contract years!

It wasn’t a particularly strong class to begin with in terms of elite prospects atop of the class. Class has some nice role player guys but i don’t think you have those elite nba all star type of talent at the top is why people are saying it’s weak.

i cringe at the thought of this group making any further roster decisions.  i know it's highly unlikely given the amount of time between the end of the season and free agency & the draft, but this can't go on for another year.

ahh...so maybe having a pick in the 20's isn't so bad this year.

Anything less than a "miraculous" series comeback and win, Brett Brown is likely finished as the 76ers head coach.

And if the Sixers want to retain the fan-base they've accumulated over the past 3-4 years, they should probably fire the entire front office while they're at it.  This team needs a complete overhaul and they really need someone from the outside to do it.

My 2 cents.

It is. as long as we don’t do stupid things like announce to the world we love thybulle and then be forced to pay a premium to move up to get him.

What would the Sixers give up for the number 2 pick and would it be worth it? I don't see Simmons as a good fit on GSW since they are already set at PG (Steph) and PF (Draymund). I guess they could try Simmons at the 5 (that may be interesting to see).

Also saw this on bleacher report

The Trade: Chicago Bulls send the No. 4 pick, Lauri Markkanen, Zach LaVine and Coby White to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons

Chicago’s entire front office would deserve to be immediately fired if they did that trade.

i'd be okay with them trading that pick + one of horford or harris for player(s) who are a better fit.

I would be too. However i still think it’s a pipe dream someone is giving you something good for horford. This Kings theory of Hield and Barnes i dont see it happening.

that bulls trade is something I talked about last year with Simmons. I know markkanen wants out of Chicago based off what some of the uofa coaches have told me. He hates the organization and wants to go to a better team where he fits better and concerned with winning. Lavine is a scorer and shooter we need to space the floor. Frankly markkanen allows you to have a stretch four alongside embiid which is a good fit. He’s a better version of Ilyasova. The 4th overall I’m not sure what direction you go.  I would say ball would be a nice backcourt of Lavine. However if I’m the sixers i think about trying to package it with horford and Richardson to get a team willing to trade a veteran point guard. Go with a lineup of veteran PG, Lavine, Harris, markkanen and embiid. Your spacing on the floor would be great. Defensively i think you have issues besides embiid.

Adam Silver publicly confirmed the NBA will likely delay the start of the 20-21 regular season beyond its current projected date of December 1st.

"I'd say December 1, now that we're working through this season, is feeling a little bit early to me," Silver told ESPN's Rachel Nichols before the NBA Draft Lottery on Thursday night.

"I think our No. 1 goal is to get fans back in our arenas. ... So my sense is, in working with the Players Association, if we could push back even a little longer and increase the likelihood of having fans in arenas, that's what we would be targeting."

The NBA and several of its owners have been working with companies on fast-response tests that could economically and safely make crowds more feasible in the months ahead.

"We're watching closely the development of antivirals," Silver said. "There's been some really positive reports about vaccines lately."

so we could be seeing a longer offseason than originally announced.

Makes a lot of sense to start in January 2021 and go through the month of July instead of ending in June. Basically only competing with baseball during that month and could capture viewers.

that means more time to get a new GM & HC.

What head coach would be willing to come here (with this front office and ownership) and during a short free agency. Basically, their first year would be a lost season. May make sense to keep things as they are for another year.

They can but they will likely lose the majority of "the new found" fans that have been following the team for the last 3-4 years.  Fans are beyond tired of the failed "process" moniker and the vast majority are ready to call the entire things a "loss" and are ready to move on.

They really need to clean house, imo...even if it means possibly moving either Simmons or Embiid.

I like both Simmons and Embiid but they've tried over and over to make it work between the two and their styles simply do not compliment each other.  😞   Embiid needs a true "shooting point guard" and Simmons needs a true power forward who will take it to the rim and play underneath regularly.  Neither is happening with this team, in its current format.  Defense is important but it doesn't make a difference how good your defense is if you don't scare anyone offensively.

Worst draft class in a decade plus.

Can you throw in Josh, or Harris or AL.

I think that is a must if trade Ben at this point. They have to get rid of a big contract

This.  I'm not eager to trade Ben but if you do, you have to get out from under the Horford contract as part of the deal.

what if they could somehow move tobi & j-rich for knockdown shooters?  that could help a lot with spacing. if one were a combo guard who could play some pg, even better.

how about some scary terry?  devonte graham really played well for them so rozier might be expendable.

Honestly i can’t see any team wanting harris’ contract until there’s a year left. And if they do you likely taking on bad contracts as well so it’s likely going to be a wash.
