Why Morey gets paid 10 million bucks.

Levert, Jerami Grant, Heidl/Barnes, Rozier/PJ Washington.

Issue is no one has any idea what his value is right now and only takes one GM to love him.

Small ball 5 with the Hornets might work out for him.

really?

what did you expect during these playoffs?  i mean, if you've watched the past 3 seasons, you had to know ben would kill them in the playoffs like he always has.

Not because we lost the series. Because we had a 3 year championship window with Embiid and now because of Ben, we probably can’t get the player to make us a contender during that time. Oh yeah, our coach sucks.

I’d love to get levert. The money actually works if you do brogdon and levert for Simmons and hill/shake. Not sure the pacers would want Simmons though or if that was enough.

lavine is the only shot creating wing i can think of who might be available. tbs, i think it would take simmons + another guy like maxey or thybulle to get him because teams don't give away 27 ppg scorers for a guy afraid to shoot free throws.

I am who I am. It is what it is.

Jump shooting, foul shooting and consistent aggression would seem to be high on the list.

"You hit on all of it,” Simmons said to a reporter who listed a few of those categories. "I didn’t shoot well from the line this series. Offensively, I wasn’t there. I didn’t do enough for my teammates. There’s a lot. There’s a lot of things I need to work on.”

He disagreed with the notion there might be something distinct about the playoffs that makes him an inherently worse player than in the regular season.

"No, I’m not going to let you say that,” he said. "We lost. It sucks. I am who I am. It is what it is. It’s not easy to win, and it shows. The Nets got finished by the Bucks. It’s not easy to win. And I work, so the first thing I'm going to do is clear my mind and get my mental right.”

Harris for CJ  is pretty much a wash and would do that

I’d do Cj for tobias. However i think if you are trading tobias a team like utah makes sense. They were very interested in him before the sixers re-signed him. With how their season ended i could see them making a move like that. However it’s super hard to make the contracts matchup in this scenario. This is about the only way unless you just do gobert straight up for Harris which isn’t happening

Harris has more value for sure and to me is like Drummond, they put up stats, but they don't seem to really make an impact in the game. You could tell me Harris scored 20 or 10 and I would believe both. He isn't a difference maker to me.

agreed. i wouldn't hesitate to move harris.  he's not really a defender, a 3 point shooter, or much of a creator. he's empty stats.

I like tobias Harris the person but just dislike his game for what you said. Imo he’s the prototypical great player on a bad team that when you get on a good team just isn’t good enough. He kind of remains me of the basketball version of Kirk cousins. where cousins has hallow stats. on the stat sheet you look and say damn he has good numbers but when you watch him just say he’s not the guy to get you where you want to go and comes up small when you really need him the most.

Everyone could see Ben didn’t want any part of the ball, especially in the 4th. What was Doc thinking keeping him in?

Need him for defense and the bench wasn’t much better. Maxey, shake, hill all did nothing. Love Maxey but he’s a rookie. They needed him but really it is a lot to ask for a rookie to be that guy off the bench every night in big playoff games. It’s sad that the sixers had to ask him to do that with having traded for George hill. Hill really screwed the sixers. If he was what they thought that’s a huge piece off the bench

we were harsh on green after the first two games but he was actually missed in this series. That said atlanta was down Hunter and reddish so it could’ve looked even worse if those guys played.

If you can’t get lillard or Beal to pair with Embiid, I’d be tempted to trade Embiid and go full rebuild.  Send Embiid somewhere he can win.

The ownership won’t do that considering they are paying morey and doc the money they are. Neither are here or being paid for rebuilds. Could make the case to fire doc but ownership won’t.

It’s unfair to morey as well who got the job last year and inherited somewhat of a mess in a flawed roster. I give him credit he had a good draft and his acquisitions of green and curry weren’t the problem. His worse move since getting here might have been George hill which at the time seemed like a good move.

If we want to blame FO/executives for the current mess it really falls on colangelo, Brett brown and Elton brand for the bad moves made during the last 3 years (horford, fultz, bridges trade, Harris extension, butler to Miami and Simmons max). To a lesser extent also Hinkie for wasting picks on Noel and okafor (honestly was a bad draft unless you knew Booker who went 13 would be that good which a lot of teams clearly didn’t).

You really want to get pissed of more at Simmons, go back and watch his summer league games. He’s taking some jumpers and actually hitting some of them. And aggressive in those games. Now he’s the new markelle fultz

So after a night to stew on it...yeah, I'm done with this team and the NBA for a long time. The Sixers are unwatchable until Ben is gone.

But the larger point is the NBA. I just can't anymore with the ridiculous officiating and the way the game is going. Clearly the league is all in on pushing guys like Curry, Young, Harden, etc. because they think that's what people want to see. Watching Golden State get away with blatant moving screens all game long was painful enough, but now watching a punk like Trae Young get fouls if someone breathes on him, as he unnaturally jumps into contact...it's just not entertaining. Then guys like Embiid, LeBron, etc. constantly get mauled and get no calls.

I'm sure Gen Z loves this brand of basketball, but I have no interest in it.

Said it yesterday. Trae Young is a microcosm of everything that is wrong with the NBA. The fact that the refs and the NBA are enabling his behavior is beyond my comprehension.

But the viewership numbers are up and it feels like the NBA has never been more popular. Maybe we're just old heads who are destined to be shaking their fists at the world.

Everyone complained and you thought their first born died after getting one foul called on them or possession didn't go their way. It is getting a bit out of hand and that should be talked about as well. I see a bunch of no bodied doing as well.

They may pass a rule, but it won't get enforced.  It should be warning, tech, ejection.  Every game - until these punk bishes like Young and Harden get it

T them up like they used to.  Problem solved.

They have made the swipe thru a non shooting foul not so that was progress this year.
