Are they going to give up Klay or Steph? Cause otherwise they have the least enticing roster in all of the league.

I’m guessing they think Wiggins, paschal, 7 and 14 are enough. Honestly they lost a ton of trade value when that picked conveyed at 7. Once that Minnesota pick didn’t convey to 2022 the value is just not there.

Also not sure how you have green and Simmons on the floor together. It’s why i said a couple days ago that i knew the warriors behind the scenes wanted to deal draymond. God help us if we trade Simmons for draymond. I Fing hate draymond

I love the mid range game.  That and running is the best part of basketball to me.  Which makes me a dinosaur.

I like the spread 3pt style but not the fact that it is so dominant. I’d like to see an experiment with no 3pters during two of the quarters. Home team chooses but 1 quarter each half. That would bring back the relevance of tough half court D oriented play and force teams to have deep benches. The best of the new and old worlds. Two quarters of Embiid playing like Shaq on the inside.

The spacing would be horrendous though and it would become a slopfest.  1990’s Knicks.  They created the monster that is the 3 pointer. There really is no remedy

That is the very point. A slug fest for 2 quarters and wide open spread for 2. Extend the game day roster if necessary and force teams to be able to play both styles at least minimally well.

Defend the three point line and the rim

make them score in the midrange

Why not just move it back a few feet? Make it a lower percentage shot.

What would stop them from shooting 2 pointers from that range unless you mean no shots outside the arc?

The strategy will change because the lower percentage of points per shot will force them into taking higher percentage shots.

Yeah you can do that but then you’ll remove the fun part of the 3pt stuff. I’m looking to have my cake and eat it too.

Why not give a home team home advantage and they can move the 3 point line within a certain distance back or forward. Kind of like baseball does with their distances.

Sixers could move it to the restricted area and Simmons still wouldn't hit a 3

He's our pick at 28 on tankathon. It seems unrealistic.  That'd be amazing.

Simmons is a 24-year-old All-Star-caliber player, so despite his putrid showing in the playoffs, the price will remain high to acquire him.

Let's put the potential final package at:

Warriors get: Ben Simmons

76ers get: Andrew Wiggins, No. 7 and No. 14 overall picks in 2021 NBA Draft

Simmons certainly has his limitations, but he is also far from a finished player and could give the Warriors an interesting dimension as a primary ball-handler and initiator who allows Curry to hunt off-ball.

In the end, something tells me the Warriors are looking for something different than what Simmons can provide.

But the Simmons-Warriors noise will only get louder until he finally finds a new home.

Saw this one, thought it was decent.

I wonder what Joel's thoughts on this would be?  Did Wiggins and Embiid have good chemistry at Kansas?

This deal is absurd for the Warriors. It’ll never happen let’s move on

Not completely. 7 and 14 are usually just guys.

I could totally see this in a three team trade as well with other players and picks.

GS have the shooters to give Ben space and zero pressure to score outside the paint. He'd give them someone to match up on anyone defensively.  The lack of pressure to score or lead could help him excel. I'd do it if I was GS but throw in another team and get another player back.

Never gonna happen IMO.

It's true though, pick 7 seems to be very unspectacular in recent history for some random reason. Plenty of studs drafted between 7 and 14 though.

Simmons doesn't fit their system at all though IMO. I actually don't see a fit for him anywhere at that cap number with his glaring flaws. He is just a bad fit in today's NBA in general.

Oh boy

Blazers losing leverage by the day. Blazers and Mavs are just dumb to not cater to stars

Can't believe the Harris and Simmons for Lillard and McCollum deal that should be happening soon.

I would not want both.

Their defense won't beat Harden Irving

Keep Thybulle and send them Shake and Maxey along with matching salaries.

True.

Obviously we would prefer a Simmons + stuff deal for Lillard.

Harris/McCollum just seems like such a perfect swap though.... along those lines, other than Harris and CJ, who else is playing the #2 role that is good but really belongs as a #3?

I wonder if Toronto would sign and trade Lowry for Harris.

Lowry and Lillard.

Lillard and Lowry back court. Losing Ben and Tobi, now the question would be how you fill those Forward spots.

Maybe Adding in a George Hill for Covington swap.

Obviously adding some 1sts to that Portland deal.

Now you are looking at

G- Lillard

G- Lowry

F- Thybulle

F- Covington

C- Embiid

Bench- Maxey, Curry, Green, Howard

Add with the Horford TPE, and MLE.
