yeah Howard and Reid makes a difficult situation. Unless Reid can actually play the 4 with his athleticism and ability to shoot.

The team is also in need of a real distributor at PG or else Maxey really has to evolve there. Not sure I care to get Rubio though. Maybe can get a PG with that Horford trade exception.

Dont want to put Maxey in the deal. Everyone knows how I want depth. I want to be the team receiving multiple players back. I much prefer some of the discussed Minnesota deals rather than Simmons + Maxey + picks to just get 1 player back.

I think Edwards, Beasley, and Reid make a bigger combined impact than Lillard alone.

Dame has played 35.5, 37.5, 35.8 minutes over the last 3 years and he isn't going to want to decrease his minutes

yep. dame will eat up all the pg minutes. perfect world...sure, you try to keep maxey & give them shake instead. but no way in hell does portland do that.   

Maxey isnt a true PG. He doesnt necessarily need PG minutes. 

agreed that maxey could play minutes with dame...but port would want more than simmons, pick 28 this year and 2 pick swaps that probably won't happen. we'll see what happens.

What window? The window to win with Embiid? That window was an optical illusion. Hes never been healthy and effective deep in to a post season. 

Build great depth so that hopefully the team has enough talent to win games without him. If he is there, its a bonus. Ill take a 2 or 3 for 1 deal in our favor over giving up young talent like Maxey as a throw in and picks, for 1 player.

I’m betting Minnesota doesn’t even consider giving up edwards in that deal. Probably looking at Beasley and Russell.

A week ago we couldn’t trade Ben for Markelle Fultz. Now we have our option between Edwards and Dame, but can’t throw Maxey in because we are giving up too much. Come on guys.

Yeah. 

I'm banking on them wanting him "badly" and windhorst saying at least 12 teams would make offers. 

Minnesota would likely feel inclined to improve their offer. 

From Minnesota standpoint,  they'd still have Russell who they pursued for years,  KAT, and Simmons to sell a a big 3.

 

Anthony Edwards is most likely untouchable.
