I get the feeling Brent is going to be back for another year. And somehow Alex Rucker and Cohen who been here through the Colangelo years are still going to be here even though they deserve to be fired as much as Brett Brown

Richardson is talking about him like hes already gone so I think the players already know its a done deal. Also, the woj bomb. I think Brett is already fired. Just not publicly yet.

Trust the process.

Currently watching Trey Burke keep the Mavs in this overtime game with the Clippers. 4-5 from three, 27 points I think.  I can’t wait to get a new coach.

So much this. Burke is an athletic playmaker. Why Brown thought Neto, who flat out can’t play, was better shows what a doofus he is.

oh. yeah. Im 50/50 on that.

I think Embiid's comments tonight are a sign Brand isnt favored among players. Or at least, the franchise's best player. So... thats a positive for us to get him gone.

Hopefully its been a snowball behind the scenes.

I think embiid just pissed off that he let Jimmy Butler go. I think it be kind of realizes they needed Jimmy Butler to get where they wanted to go and the Sixers didn’t value him like they should’ve.  I’m not so sure how tobias exactly feels. I know last off-season the rumors that a butler came back he wasn’t coming back. However I feel that’s bull crap if you offered him a five year max he was going to take it   I’m guessing Ben Simmons didn’t want Butler here cause it moved him off the point position.

front office in damage control. leaked to pompey that brett brown was responsible for breaking up last years team, letting Butler go.

What timing for this "report".

BS.

https://heatnation.com/rumors/report-brett-brown-sixers-because-he-didnt-want-deal-with-jimmy-butler/

And this is why the Sixers are never going to win anything. If that was the case they should’ve just fired Brett Brown and went with another coach. So I called BS that Brett Brown had that much cache to make them not sign Jimmy Butler as he was on the hot seat. This is all on Sixers ownership being a bunch of cheap asses and didn’t want to give them a 5th year max. I can tell you for a fact they never offered it to him

Kenny Atkinson is the first call I make and hopefully the only call

Its so easy to see through that report. Its obvious that if he was involved (probably) that was only part of the decision. Others would have been involved. And, the timing of this (I think it came out yesterday) is just unbelievably convenient. Its so obvious...

It’s honestly why i want the Sixers ownership to sell the team. This team is not going anywhere. they find ways to put blame on somebody else but themselves. They aren’t winning crap til this ownership group is gone.

At least we aren't the Knicks.

He’s not wrong.

yeah. I think hes the one that posted the good article about the issues with the team from the top down. He detailed the failures of the team at every level from Brand on down to the players. Hes so much better than Spike is so much better than Howard.

Agree. Also, it shows how weak the front office is to let him and also leak this now to try to save their jobs and throw him under a bus. I could be wrong, but I don't see that as appealing to coaches or players.

He isn't wrong. I said this before, but I just read an article about them interviewing Zanik at the same time.

I read this in the spring, so I guess he isn't locked into the Jazz.

https://thejnotes.com/2020/04/09/utah-jazz-justin-zanik-staying/

Honestly, I would love to see them poach some of their scouts/front office guys and Zanik. They are creative and do a ton with a lot less and if they can make that team competitive they should be able to do so with a large market. That's just me.

How the warriors can get Embiid

Most likely a trade deadline deal.

Warriors could offer a package consisting of:

  • Wiseman, now signed to his rookie contract, which would pay $8,730,240 in 20/21 if the salary cap remains flat
  • Gay’s $14.5m expiring contract
  • Kevon Looney who will earn $4,821,429 next season
  • Eric Paschall who is due to be paid $1,517,981
  • Minnesota’s 2021 top-3 protected pick and 2021 second-round pick
  • The Warriors’ own 2021 draft pick

Don’t really like that package.  Wiseman Imo is overrated. Again i wouldn’t want to build my franchise around a center.  Do like paschal as a role player. That Minnesota pick is only valuable if they don’t get a top 3. With how the west is theres a strong chance they finish in the bottom 3 of the west. Lakers, clips, nuggets, Utah, Rockets, Okc, Dallas, Warriors, blazers and suns are likely all better than the wolves. There’s also a good chance the grizzlies and pelicans are also better.  Meaning they are ahead of the kings and spurs. And that warriors pick is basically pick 25-30.

Our best option is a deal from NY. Rj Barrett and the 8th pick Kira Lewis+ salary filler for Ben Simmons.

Also if we lost out on Luka through trade. Then we chose Ben over butler, we won't have good luck keeping Ben. It's a sign we need to see in a 2020 epiphany vision.

So is it really time for the Sixers to think about trading Simmons? He's such a talent though...
