Not sure how much that matters?

He one of the idiots who have let the team go to ish. Caving to Silver. Colangelo Era. Brett Brown GM. Then Elton Brand GM...

Hopefully it means Morey has more power now and O'Neil is in disagreement so he stepped down.  Hopefully it means they are about to do something big.

Saw this on face book.

Look how the Nets increase wins by trading Durant.😀

Because that's the same thing as being injured the last 6 years straight. How many 7 foot guys with injuries have had their issues decrease closer to 30 and beyond?

he's 27 and just averaged 28/11 in the playoffs. yeah, he missed 1 playoff game just like a bunch of other all stars have. i'd put his window at around 3 years. that's why they should prioritize vets over picks in any trades they make.

who do you think they should trade the mvp runner-up for?

i think you have to roll with embiid, period. i'm hoping yet another bad playoff exit, and the assumed trade of simmons, will wake embiid up some.

the only person that can really stop embiid, is embiid. sometimes he needs to get out of his own way and just play.

As great as Embiid was this season, he can take his game up another notch by having his cardio game on point. I guess the issue arises when he gets injured and then loses some cardio by not being able to play in games.

I think a man that is at least 7'1" and 280lbs can only get his cardio to a certain point. Could he lose some more weight, sure, but let's be realistic.

i think embiid would be better suited as a secondary scorer who isn't relied upon to carry so much of the offensive load. that would help with wear & tear on his body as well.

he shouldn't have to be the guy with the ball at the top of the key trying to create. it just takes too much out of him. that's why i'd love for them to go all-in for lillard or beal. i think embiid would have a lot more energy & would be able to focus on defense & play a lot more in the paint with a legit #1 perimeter creator on the team.

Not only that but he has to tow the load in the playoffs all game long.  Every time he gets a breather on the bench he has to come back in and stop the bleeding.  No crap a guy that size who literally has to carry the team offensively is wiped by the 4th.  There's no secondary player he can actually defer to.  He has no Kyrie, Harden, CP3, AD, etc...In the playoffs it's literally just him carrying the team.

Agree. They need a "closer" and it can't be the center. Butler could have been that guy.

He wasn't even able to jump at the end of one game and he's never been able to be relied on every year he has been in the league. We agree compensation would be difficult, but honestly if they can't get a really good 2nd scorer for Ben (without draining the team of other assets and depth they will need) then they might as well knock it all down now.

They need a legit 2nd scorer, one starter on top of him, and bench pieces. Oh, and a miracle of health. Tall order.

Ben Simmons has reportedly purchased a $17.5 million West Coast outpost. The modern farmhouse is located in a gated Hidden Hills community in California. The new estate has two swimming pools, three kitchens, and 12,000 square feet of living space.

Interesting purchase from Ben, who spends roughly 8-10 months of the year here in Philadelphia while playing basketball for the 76ers. The first thing I noticed was that there was no basketball court on the property? According to a few tips that came into The Liberty Line, Simmons has also purchased another mansion in the Mount Laurel area of New Jersey. A friend of the site said that the property does feature a basketball court with the Ben Simmons signature logo blown up in the center.

Get the 3rd pick, + for Ben.

Roll with young talent around Embiid with Green or Suggs, and Maxey with Harris and whatever else you get in the trade.

If Joel is frustrated that it isnt good enough and requests a trade, trade him for the best haul of assets you can get. There will be plenty of excellent offers. Thank him for not wanting us to pay him a super max on his way out.

Team will be loaded with young talent and ready to compete very soon. Will be exciting to watch them grow. And itll work faster than wasting years believing Embiid is ever going to win us anything, and then trying to repeat whatever watered down version of the process we can get away with from the league.

Does the signature Simmons logo also wear a shooting sleeve and did he get it below market value by roughly 34.2%?

give me one of those guards from cle & i'll take the 3rd pick. might even throw in one of shake/maxey/thybulle to make that happen.

it came from Pompey so a good chances he’s just full of crap

When he spoke so freely about Ben not being a guy to do something without being challenged it was clear he knew he wouldnt be playing with him again one way or the other. Whether by a Simmons trade, or Danny moving on.

That will be a tougher loss than I would have expected back when we signed him. Not gonna get a guy on vet min better than him.

O'Neil came in with the value of the team at 415 Million. He is leaving with it worth 2.5 billion. Goes to show what he feels about the direction of the franchise from here.

no way green was ever coming back. coming off making $15 mill, i'm sure he'll get more $$ than the sixers are willing to pay him. anyway, that's the price for having to unload horford's awful contract.
