Anyone know about this rumored Brandon Ingram package?

It seems to be saying Ingram is on the market and the 6ers should be able to beat any offers from other teams.

I havent heard of Ingram on the market.

May be an image of 2 people, people playing sports and text that says '@SIXERSCRAZE Phila 25 ibotta REPORT THE SIXERS REMAIN ABLE TO BEAT OUT MOST TRADE PACKAGES FOR A STAR, INCLUDING THE RUMORED BRANDON INGRAM PACKAGE. H/T CHRIS CROUSE'

Mentioned it weeks ago that heard on a podcast that they don't think Ingram and Zion can play together, got told no, and now here we are.

I’m assuming they are talking about the bleacher report and the athletic trade where the pelicans give up Ingram for lillard. Meaning the sixers can beat any and most packages for lillard (or any Star) including a pelicans deal that includes Ingram for such a star

its Chris carouse reporting it stems from this  Brandon scoop robinson talked about this on 973 espn. I believe it’s on YouTube. the pelicans want to trade Ingram from lillard to pair with Zion to make zion happy

From  bleacher report

The Trade: Damian Lillard and Robert Covington for Brandon Ingram, Eric Bledsoe, a 2021 first-round pick, a 2022 first-round pick (via LAL), a 2023 first-round pick and a 2025 first-round pick

from the athletic’s David Aldridge

Scenario 1: The Big Easy

David Aldridge: If the Blazers had no choice, the Pelicans’ would be a call they’d have to take, even if it meant Lillard potentially remained in the West. New Orleans is in must-win-now mode. Zion Williamson’s smoke signals about his unhappiness there are getting so thick the Fort Pike Volunteer Fire Department is on its way to investigate. Getting Lillard would be the biggest marker David Griffin could possibly put down to help keep Zion and his camp engaged. Dame’s powers of persuasion are significant. That would be one lethal one-two punch.

Presumably, the Pelicans would understand that you have to give to get, and as such would have Brandon Ingram available as a potential centerpiece for the Blazers, along with another legit young player. New Orleans has a couple that fit the bill — perhaps a Naji Marshall or a Kira Lewis.

And if Dame was coming, that would mean, as has been speculated for months, that Lonzo Ball was going — to Chicago, one would presume, via sign-and-trade. The Bulls could and may well figure they can get Ball by dealing with New Orleans alone, but maybe they could shake someone from Portland too — and vice versa — if they expanded a potential trade for Ball into a three-team deal.

The Pels, we all know, have a whole bunch of future firsts — from Milwaukee via the Jrue Holiday trade and from the Lakers via the AD deal. None of them are likely to be that good in the near future — one could argue it’s New Orleans’ own firsts that might be more valuable right now, including the No. 10 pick the Pels have this year. Of course, if Dame were in New Orleans with Zion, that would likely change. However it shook out, at the least, multiple firsts from among the six New Orleans controls between now and 2025, starting with this year’s late lottery pick, would have to wind up in Portland’s coffers, along with Ingram and other players.

Is that based off of chemistry, personalities or playing style?.

Heard it about a month  from KOC on theringer and based off playing style. Zion and his camp want the ball in his hands the final four minutes, where Brandon wants his touches. He also said Zion really likes Ball so wouldn't be surprised if he is re signed.

I personally would take on the Bledsoe contract if it means getting Ingram and keeping Maxey. Ingram is everything this team needs out of an elite wing.

Yeah.  But hear anything on the rumored trade offer?

Ok. So if they're offering Ingram for Lillard,  I'd take Ingram over Ben if I'm portland.

The Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat are planning to make a "hard push" to acquire Kawhi Leonard this summer, sources told Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

Leonard can exercise his player option and become a free agent.

The Mavs are reportedly the most "serious threat" to land Leonard due to Luka Doncic's presence, the ability to create max cap space, and Leonard's relationship with Nico Harrison.

Leonard previously attempted to recruit Jimmy Butler to the Clippers before the team traded for Paul George. While the Heat cannot create max cap space, they can work out a sign-and-trade similar to the one they used to acquire Butler.

O'Connor adds that Leonard is likely to stay with the Clippers.

Just a passing thought- I was just thinking about if we combined the Harris for McCollum idea with the Simmons for Brogdon/Lamb/FRP trade.

Nice back court of Brogdon and McCollum to pair wiith Embiid.

Leaves holes at the forward spots. Thybulle can fill one. Not sure about the other.

I also saw this post on realgm.

Quote

Starting next season CJ is owed 3/90
Harris is owed 3/111

CJ isn’t cheap at 30 million a year for next 3 seasons either.

Its worth noting that average savings of 7M a year is significant for a team like the 6ers trying to avoid apron restrictions.

Another layer to the trade which makes it even more perfect than previously thought.

CJ is a better player and scorer than Tobi. Why does Portland do this?

there was an article out there weeks ago that put it straight- CJ hasnt worked as a 2nd option. Hes a 3rd option. Harris hasnt worked as a 2nd option. Hes a 3rd option. Its basically equal that way. And close enough money to make the deal work.

Now CJ looks better to casual fans due to fancy dribble moves and volume scoring. Meanwhile Harris is a silent efficient scorer and contributes more in other categories as well. Their back court is too small and they cant get over the hump. They need to split it up. Their defense is absolutely horrible every year. Harris has become a solid defender.

Portland fans on the realgm board like the idea of the trade. And as discussed on the 6ers thread about it, maybe we add something to incentivize them for saving us the 7M per year over the next 3 years.

heres another article I just found stating it similarly. This is from nbcsports northwest.

"So if you trade CJ McCollum it’s not like you’re going to magically somehow get a great number two player in exchange for him that fits better with Dame, what you’re really trying to get is an equivalent player on the NBA’s total hierarchy who fits better with Dame and flipping a number three for a number three who fits better I don’t think changes your world.”

Lowe moves on to suggest a trade that could be the most likely as far as fair value with McCollum heading to the Philadelphia 76ers for Tobias Harris.

dame/cj has peaked & can only take them so far. plus portland acquired norman powell for the sg spot & drastically needs to upgrade on D.

Doc wants Ben back. He's terrific and doesn't need a lot of fixing...

Somebody trade Doc to the nut house.

Do you think Doc means it? Or is it boilerplate coach-speak? He’s obviously not terrific and he needs tons of fixing. I’m hoping it’s just a matter of not showing how desperately you want to trade him.

Who knows with Doc. He has been sucking Ben's nuts all season

I think they're trying to save what they can of his image.  But I also think Glen means it.

If Ingram is really in play and can get him for Simmons and all the picks you do it or if they want Thybulle.

See if can sign Batum with the full mid level exception. He would be my top priority as a vet. Shown he can play small ball 5 or a 4 in a bigger lineup and 40% on 4 attempts from 3

yep.

Tobi + Shake for McCollum

Ben + for Ingram

championship.

Some other discussion on realgm got me wondering- what if we actually get a Paul George for Simmons offer. Probably about the best offer/player you can hope for. I dont think Portland will call us about Lillard, and I dont think Washington will call us about Beal.

But Paul George and Rivers dont get along? What then?

Pass on George

If you got George and McCollum, between the 2 of them theyd take every shot of every game and Embiid would never have to do anything but rebound. He would be so fresh.

Doc was part of the issue when it came to the issues George had. Doc gave the stars special treatment
