So we are going after Ricky Rubio?

I know someone in this thread will get a hard on.

Simmons value just keeps rising. Now need Dame to get more disgruntled, but still rather have Ingram and Maxey

Isn't Liam the brother that has been accused of sexually assaulting their sister?

I also can't believe a Tweet from Dave Hughes has made the US media (even though it was his brother liking it). The dude is a hack 'comedian' that has no idea about anything. If this article could not give him publicity that would be great. We may as well get Carrot Top's opinion

nah...that was a half-brother named sean.

Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons’ family is at the center of disturbing allegations.

His sister Olivia Simmons is alleging she was molested as a child by the siblings’ half brother, Sean Tribe — who is also the 76ers star’s manager. Tribe is believed to have no business relation to Simmons’ agency, Klutch Sports Group, and his agent Rich Paul.

Olivia went public with her allegations, which she said resulted in years of post-traumatic stress disorder, in a series of tweets beginning on April 6. Olivia stated that the alleged molestation started when she was just 3 years old, and that her mother, Julie Simmons — a sexual abuse survivor, according to her daughter — was allegedly aware. Julie is a fixture at her son’s games in Philadelphia.

I hope Morey doesn't make the same mistake he did at the deadline waiting on a Lowry deal and missing out on every other opportunity.

Passing on Sexton and multiple picks and not seeing Lillard come to Philly would be a catastrophic failure. Sexton may end up with the heat, or somewhere else.  He won't be available whenever Morey realizes he's done chasing established super stars.

Even if he can eventually fall back on a Brogdon deal that's still not as good.

Heat are too busy chasing Kawhi and would be interesting if Sexton and Jimmy would get along

No idea if this guy actually has an nba source. No blue check. Just passing along for rumors to discuss

I didn't realize Fox is kind of a poor shooter.  His 3 point and FT % are not that good.

Morey out here playing 3 dimensional chess

I mentioned the kings a couple weeks back with fox but having to take hield back in return. Frankly i didnt think the kings would go for it but if there was a team that would make a dumb move it’d be the kings even with vlade gone

im curious to see what happens with the clippers. I think the writing might be on the wall that kawhi is leaving. I’m betting Miami or Dallas. Been rumors about Dallas to team up with luka. However curious to see if the clippers want Ben what they are attempting to offer for him. My theory of if Jerry west calls you are likely gonna regret making the move with him

yeah...shooting definitely isn't his strength...but he seems to be a willing shooter. dude is ultra quick & i'd love to have him on the sixers.

No doubt.  If you could pry Hield away too, that would give us another 3 point shooter to go along with Seth.

Not sure he will be a better shooter as well. His FT% has pretty much stayed the same as well, a career 72% FT shooter.

To fox’s credit he did get better this past season while taking about 2 more threes per game. He shot 29% in 2019-20 but only took 3.6 3s per game. This past year he was up at 5.5 and shot a better percentage. Problem is i don’t think he ever gets to 38-40 percent. His FT numbers are in the low 70s. Ideally you’d like him to get that to 80-85 but he’s always been 70-73. To his credit still scored 25 a game this past year and had 7.2 assists

Here's what Simmons is up to.

At Wimbeldon.

Smash

fox isn't the cure for all the sixers' woes...but he sure as hell would help space the floor better than simmons.  they'd need to make a few other moves for fox to fit.

if we really wanted to become the kings...and who wouldn't....ben & tobi for fox, hield, & barnes is very close salary-wise.

I would do it and then shop Maxey for another wing.

Kyle Anderson is on the final year of his deal and played the best basketball of his career last year. Can play 3 4 or small ball 5.

Probably have too cause I’m not sure maxey and fox or for that matter maxey and sexton are a backcourt you want out there together. Meaning maxey would likely have to be a sixth man off the bench and stagger the minutes between them. I think the value for maxey would be higher to bring back a better piece/starter.

yeah he was more of a defender as a draft prospect. but he has improved since entering the league. The hope would be that he continues improving.

His effective shooting % has increased each year.

I dont know how much better he ever gets, but the assist numbers have really jumped too so thats nice.

I still think Sexton is just as attractive. Where you lack in assists (which may still improve for Sexton as well) you have way better 3 point shooting development. Both ate 25ppg scorers right now. Sexton may have higher upside.

https://stathead.com/basketball/pcm_finder.cgi?player_id2=sextoco01&player_id1=foxde01&sum=0&request=1

Advanced stats probably suggest Fox is still better when you account for his defense. But he has a year longer in the league and Sexton has already far surpassed him in 3pt%, and FT%, and edges him out in eFG% and true shooting %. For the price, I probably go Sexton.

I wouldnt trade Maxey for another wing. When Maxey develops his 3 point shot we will be wishing we still had him. And he will fit just fine.

As well, there is very little high end SF talent in the NBA. You should be able to get an average one with the Horford trade exception and not have to sacrifice Maxey.

Some free agent wings this year are

McDermott

Batum

Josh Hart

TLC

Jeff Green

Carmello

JaMychal Green

Rudy Gay

PJ Tucker

Markieff Morris

Bjelica

Bazemore

Ariza

Enniz

Otto Porter

Winslow

Tim Hardaway

Duncan Robinson

Kendrick Nunn

Forbes

Lou Will

Austin Rivers

Malik Monk

Wayne Ellington

Terence Davis

Wes Matthews

E'twan Moore

High end talent? Maxey is not worth high end talent either. He is worth an average wing or 6th man at this stage.

Fox can't play off ball because he can't shoot at high enough rate so Maxey and him wouldn't fit.

If got Sexton, I would tell him he is going to play like Jamal Murray and now a primary scoring guard where Maxey is the primary ball handler. Sixers are putting a ton of trust into a lead guard with minimal experience and Embiid wanting to win now.

Exactly. So why trade him for a talent level you can otherwise acquire without trading Maxey? Would make 0 sense.
