Exactly. So why trade him for a talent level you can otherwise acquire without trading Maxey? Would make 0 sense.

Because a guy like Kyle Anderson can help them win now and have actual trade value. That should be the first goal.

Maxey for Anderson and future 1st.

Can get a guy like Ross, maybe with Horford 9 million but not many guys like than on bad teams anymore.

There's a long list of free agents of be fine with either on MLE or with the trade exception.

I'm not interested in trading Maxey potential for a middling SF talent.

not sixers related but i just heard a kemba for kuzma & pick trade rumor.

Why would the Lakers do that?

I’m guessing replacement for Schroeder and they are likely frustrated with kuzma

I think Kuzma is on the block.  But not sure why they'd have to add a pick for washed Kemba.

Especially when there is the chance he develops and becomes more. Makes no sense to trade him unless including him gets you a super star.

He won't include him for Lillard.

Is TEW our 2nd grade teacher or something? This looks like a tattletale.

you consider trading maxey in a win now move if it means acquiring a real difference maker.

yeah I would consider moving him. Not in the Lillard deal thats been floated.

You want a superstar or not?

Maxey for Harden, Lillard, Durant, Lebron and 7 1st and it starts negotiations.

I'd only move maxey for some backups from the cavs.

We have been through this a few times already.

I do, but at a reasonable cost that protects our future. With that goal in mind, it seems more feasible to go for a younger borderline superstar with that potential rather than an older established superstar.

Id settle for a package centered around LaVine, for Ben, rather than giving Ben + Maxey + picks for Lillard.

Id settle for Sexton + Love + picks, rather than giving up all that for 1 player.

Id settle for Ben and picks, or players (not Maxey), for Ingram.

Id be looking at tons of options for Harris too. McCollum, or Harris + for Paul George

IF you can pull something like that off, it takes a lot of pressure off of aiming so high for the star caliber you are talking about in a Simmons trade.

You lose all credibility when you even mention Harris + for Paul George.

They aren't even in the same stratosphere in terms of talent.

I dont think anyone in here has credibility. we have no sources. Just fans spit balling. And none of us have any idea what actual trade values are. You might be overvaluing George for a team that might be looking to shake it up. Theyre even talking about trading Shai G there.

They literally traded every pick and SGA to get PG why would the Thunder do that.

I am not overvaluing a guy that averaged 29.6ppg, 9.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in the playoffs. Harris is barely a top 50 player and PG is a top 15.

You could say almost the same thing about Simmons and Harden. Which was not going to be a straight up deal. Thats why I said Harris +. You can trade a lesser player for a better player when you include other stuff in the deal. It happens all the time.

I view it this way, Jerry west and the clippers traded harris because they didn’t want to pay Harris nearly the money they thought he’d get and did from the sixers. Add on they didn’t believe the money he’d get (they offered him a contract way below what he got before dealing him) that they could be a championship team or a key cog hence why they wanted the cap space and assets to go get George and sign Kawhi rather than pay Harris. So now they are going to bring Harris back at near max money and deal George and let kawhi walk? I think they rather keep George and find a way to get another star to team up with George cause that’s always been Jerry west’s MO and he’s already shown he didn’t want to pay Harris to make that play

Actually not really. Docs all bench line up would blow majors leads so it was a fair question.

Sigh.....
