"There is growing sentiment around the league that Love will negotiate a buyout with Cleveland and sign a veteran-minimum contract with a contender, with one of the options being the Warriors," Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Simmons added the Warriors could put on a "full-court press" to add Love after years of interest in the forward.

The five-time All-Star has two years and about $60 million remaining on his contract in Cleveland, but the organization could look to move on after he played just 25 games in 2020-21.

Listening to the Kevin O’Connor on wip talk says ric bucher’s scenario of Simmons to the Celtics for brown isn’t happening. And that morey won’t deal simmons unless it’s a big fish like beal or lillard. Says Simmons value is as same as it was before. Teams know his flaws and potential upside. Hasn’t changed. That he can see the wizards being intrigued since beal can opt out after 2021-22 season and the wizards if they wait til midseason beal could get frustrated and opt out lowering the value they’ll get since he could potentially opt out. 

As of today sees Simmons on the roster day 1 but things can change fast. 

My knee jerk reaction was to trade him after the playoff loss, but I think you need to keep him unless you get a legit superstar in return.

I strongly disagree. In a playoff game he is a net negative. Don’t care how good he plays on defense when he is a black hole on offense and can’t even make free throws. You literally have to remove your starting PG from a playoff game in the final minutes because he can’t shoot, whether it is from the floor or the FT line. 
 

So no, I don’t think you need a superstar in return. Just give me an above average PG who is at least decent on defense, can provide a bit of offense, and can shoot free throws. Or hell if they could get a really good upgrade for Green in exchange for Simmons, I’d be content with giving Maxey his shot as the starting PG. 

Pistons will hate themselves when they take Cade over Green in 5 years. 

Sixers need an elite scorer and could get him with the #3 pick I really believe it should be considered. Green is a superstar in the making

Agreed. I don't really care what the players think of the fanbase. I do care that they just admitted to not taking an opponent seriously enough in the playoffs. That is infuriating.
