Being too hard on Simmons, F off. How about you care about your craft and actually improve.

This line is a joke

He's given so much to the organization and the city, on and off the court, that he deserves that respect and that support.

Jesus! Even the vet leader is a softy. This team needs some dudes with balls!

Had him and they couldn't handle him.

Or could you imagine CP3 on this team, Simmons probably would be in tears on a daily basis

Any future signings or potential players being traded should be forced to go through a "big boy” test. Sit through a series of mom jokes. Tie them up in a chair in a pitch black room for an hour. Beat them with a stick for 10 minutes.

What is going on? These entitled soft players these days are making it very tough to watch and be passionate about sports.

Agreed. I don't really care what the players think of the fanbase. I do care that they just admitted to not taking an opponent seriously enough in the playoffs. That is infuriating.

What's wild is many of us on message boards and on the radio shows said as much.  It was clear the way they played that first half of game one that they were cocky and overconfident.  To hear them admit it makes you want to pull your hair out.  Glenn and his staff should've been on top of this.  They should've read the mood of that roster leading up to that game and smacked some intensity into them.  It seems like this is something that would be right up Sam Cassell's alley, Sam always brought the smoke.

Right? Like you are potentially playing for an nba title that can reshape your entire career and how everyone views embiid or even Simmons if he manages to win a title. Yet they come out like it was regular season game with lack of urgency and believing atlanta would just roll over and die. That’s concerning because it shows the same immaturity we thought we were past and it shows no leadership on the team to get them straight. Also really bad reflection on rivers that his team was not mentally prepared for the playoffs and knowing you need to bring it every night. Such a bad comment and look for the sixers.

Full quote

"Not saying we didn’t respect Atlanta, but I think we expected to just win — skipping steps and thinking it was going to happen, and not actually trying to make it happen. … We thought we were the better team, and I think a lot of people out there could argue the same,” Green told Clark. "But they played better, they were healthier and we didn’t take advantage of the opportunity. We didn’t take them seriously enough and we kind of skipped some steps. We just thought it was going to happen instead of making it happen, and that comes with maturity.

"If I was out there, I think I would’ve helped with some of that maturity — maybe. There’s no guarantee. We don’t know, but I would like to think it would’ve at least made a bit of a difference and we could’ve at least been moving on to the next round. Who knows — would’ve, could’ve, should’ve — and it didn’t happen. The healthiest teams are usually the ones that are the last teams standing. And because we weren’t healthy, that’s the reason why we were knocked out early.”

also discussed culture when he got here

"From Day 1 when (head coach Doc Rivers) got here, I knew there was a long ways to go and he had a lot cut out for him. … Not saying it was a terrible organization or a terrible team, but you could tell the habits needed to change,” Green said. "You could tell a lot of things needed to be changed. It wasn’t going to happen overnight. It was something that was going to take some months, maybe a year or two. We put it together faster than I expected and actually were more successful than I expected, which is why we were so disappointed, because we know we had a golden opportunity — and the potential of this team, how good we could be.

"But from Day 1, I thought it was going to take some time for this team to get it right, get it in order and get that championship culture, that atmosphere and those habits of doing things the right way and being the ultimate professionals here. Guys actually adapted and adjusted pretty well, for the most part, but there’s still some ways to go. I’m sure Doc’s going to get them right. I’m sure (president of basketball operations) Daryl Morey’s going to make the right decisions and moves that he needs to. (General manager Elton Brand) is a big key in that. I’m interested to see how it goes with draft night and free agency

also sounds as if Danny is gone. Heard the interview he made some comments where it felt like he was gone like the guys here in the future will get it done.

My heads going to explode.

didn't he say that he probably wasn't coming back a week or so ago?

That was Pompey who said he believed he wasn’t. I’m guessing the sixers use his cap hold which doesn’t go away until he leaves to go somewhere else.

"I talked to Doc, and he said, 'You know, my first initial reaction is you had a hell of a year, I appreciate everything you've done for me,'" Green said during his exit interview. "He goes, 'And you'll be back, you ain't going no-f-ing-where,' so that's a good sign that they want me back."

Kevin Love wants to play for the Nets. Durant is recruiting. They will be rooming together during Olympic training.

The perfect addition to the Brooklyn Injured.

Just a word of warning for those who want nothing less than an established star and are willing to give whatever it takes:

Morey's claim to fame in Houston, acquiring Harden, came on the heels of a season where Harden averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

I say again,  hold on to Maxey. You don't have to go for an established,  crazy expensive star.

Sexton

Fox

Ingram

Shai G

Someone on that level who is ready to take the next step.

SGA would require everything. Kid will be a Top 15 player soon. He was close to All Star in a heavy guard West this year. He is an absolute stud so doubt Sixers would give everything.

I would go for Ingram and if you have to give up Thybulle you do it.

Im fully onboard with giving up Thybulle in deals to better the team. Thybulle and Shake should be our sweetners. I just want to hold on to Maxey.

This is where I am. I love Thybulle but given the option of trading him or Maxey, it is an easy decision to me. I’m extremely bullish on Maxey, I think the kid legitimately has star potential.

I was confused by the sixers fans comments. I knew about the death threats from Lakers fans. They are worse on their players then sixers fans.

That’s what i was thinking. Living out here on the west coast, Dodgers and Lakers fans are pretty harsh on their own players. Like pau gasol helped win two titles and Lakers fans would grill him when he wasn’t playing well. Don’t get me wrong 76ers fans aren’t angels but i think there’s justification for being frustrated and booing when Simmons pulls what he did and the team apparently didn’t take the hawks seriously
