i still think there’s a solid chance Ben is back if morey doesn’t get the player he wants. I wouldn’t say more he comes back then he’s traded but i don’t think it’s some small percentage he comes back.

yeah...i've seen some fans proposing that they get a "real" pg...or maybe trade harris for a pg....then put ben at pf, etc.  honestly, i 100% do not want to see simmons play as a 76er again. i'm out. 

hopefully morey can pull something off.

I view it more this way, the deadline you might actually have a better shot at lillard and Lavine. If the bulls are floundering again (possible) they have to crap or get off the pot cause Lavine’s likely going to walk at seasons end with them not being good again. So that trade becomes more likely then rather than now where the bulls likely want an offseason with vucevic and Lavine. Lillard similar in if the blazers are still meddling in mediocrity in the west by the deadline i could see him asking out and becomes more realistic. Just don’t see Portland doing it right now after they hired the coach he supposedly wanted. If we believe morey wants a star for Ben I’m guessing he’d wait it out rather than taking lesser offers.

that all makes perfect sense...but i can't watch simmons drive...turn his back on the basket...and make a jump pass out to the 3 point line....ever again.   not for 1/2 season...not for 1/2 a game. 👎

That's basically what Ben was on offense during the Hawks series.  Just go stand in the dunkers spot.  That would work with a soft stretch C who would prefer life out on the perimeter.  Can't do it with Embiid.  While he's capable on the perimeter you want him on the block drawing fouls and destroying 1v1 match ups without having a free defender to help.  He's fine with Tobi because despite his short comings he's still a very capable 3 point shooter.  He offers spacing and can do work in the midrange and post playing PF.  He's just not a guy who can take over the game on offense consistently.  Ben has no midrange, post or perimeter game at this point.  He's strictly a penetrate and dish guy who's mediocre at finishing around the basket.

Get a legit play making guard who can consistently breakdown his man and that has to be guarded out to the three point line and it's a whole new ballgame.  Frustrating.  I feel like we have a very specific need, but those guys will cost you and Ben really tanked his value in the Hawks series making it harder to find a pairing.

Oh i agree with you i can’t either. I just think morey has a line drawn in the sand of he’s not going to settle on a trade. I’m really hoping someone like Lavine, beal or lillard asks out prior to FA.

Not really sure.  Just throwing stuff against the wall.  I have no idea what kind of player Murray is.  Doesn't look to be a very good shooter but everybody seems to love him.

Yeah if the best we can do at the moment is Lowry in a trade then i rather (depressingly) just bring Ben back.

Big Murray fan and only a slight decline on the defensive end with Simmons. 

I wouldn't have a problem with DeRozen. Team needs shot creators and mid range is still so important in the playoffs. Harris can stand in corners and shoot 3s.
