HOW WOULD WE PLAY FULL BENCH LINEUPS IN THE PLAYOFFS?!?  STUPID TRADE!

Also...if Dame is REQUESTING to be traded = disgruntled = less value........I say do whatever it takes to get him but you don't have to mortgage everything.  Put together the best trade package you feel good about and say, this is it.......

I will say....Lillard, Embid and Harris would be a nightmare for opposing teams.  But the bench would worry the crap out of me.....

I think it’d be funny if they sent him to the knicks. He’s not winning with the Knicks either. He and randle are only closer to a championship then he was in Portland because of the East. But still isn’t sniffing a title. The other 3 make sense however i don’t see Portland dealing him to the Lakers for what the Lakers can offer. I don’t think a deal centered around bad Lakers first rounders, Horton-tucker or kuzma gets the deal done. And i doubt the Lakers deal davis for lillard. The heat and warriors actually have some intriguing packages.

Do they while keeping their core guys intact?  Warriors have Steph, Klay and Wiseman (draymond is out imo, too old and declining) that Portland might be interested in besides picks.  Heat...I guess they could get rid of Herro and S&T Duncan/Olidipo but if they want to keep the Bam and Jimmy on the team they don't have much.  Frankly I think the Sixers could put together the best package of young players, not the necessarily the best package of picks.  Knicks like you said...I really don't believe in many of their players.

If Portland is completely rebuilding i think the warriors package is intriguing. Wiseman, 7th overall and 14th overall. I’m guessing the blazers ask for guys like paschal and Nico mannion. Wiggins is a must to make it work from a salary perspective. That’s not a bad package if you want to just blow it up and completely rebuild.

with the heat I’m guessing they are dealing Herro in any deal for lillard. Iguodala and dragic likely going back to Portland to match salary and they are expiring contracts. Like you said I’m guessing a sign and trade for robinson  is likely going to occur in that deal. The problem with Miami is more they have very little in terms of draft capital they could give up. They can’t give up a first til 2024. I think they are far less likely then the warriors.

the sixers, warriors, Boston, Pelicans and Knicks are the 5 teams that make the most sense in terms of packages.

warriors could offer: wiseman, paschal, Wiggins, 7th and 14

sixers: Simmons, maxey/thybulle/both and picks

knicks: everyone not named randle and picks

boston: smart, brown, Pritchard, Williams and picks

pelicans: Ingram, hayes and boatload of picks and pick swaps from milwaukee and Lakers

I guess I should've said if they want to stay competitive Sixers are probably the best trade partner.  If they keep CJ, they'd have a competent squad Simmons & Thybulle anchoring the defense and CJ/Maxey handling guard duty.  Just need to find a stretch 5.

Ben sucking is gonna cost us Maxey and Thybulle for Dame. Oh well, you gotta pay the price for him.

Not so sure if he didn’t suck against atlanta that it wasn’t going to cost you one of thybulle and maxey anyway.  I think Portland was always going to press for one. Especially when Boston could do brown and pelicans could do Ingram, picks and hayes. I think you were gonna have to move the chips all in to put yourself over the top.

Thanks for posting. I don't know if I agree with the title of the article but it is an interesting read

yeah. it was more a breakdown of doc's questionable coaching & lineup decisions than an analysis of doc & morey's relationship. good read though.

That is my point, it would have cost 1 and not both.  Oh well, they can have both.  Give me Lillard.

yeah...i'm thinking it will take 2 of maxey/thybulle/milton....and i know which 2 i'd pick if i were them.

Article was good. I dont think there was anything in there that wasnt discussed in this thread. But its awesome that the writer compiled all of the different quotes, tweets, vids, and stats all in to one place. Hopefully ownership will see that. Doc should be on a very short leash moving forward. Because as some suspected, he is a name, but not that great of a coach.

So we are gonna trade Thybulle, Maxey and Jen and picks for Lillard and Roco.  What other moves and signings will be after that?

then we sit back & wait for all the ring chasing vets to sign for the minimum.

There was just a fansided article I read yesterday with 3 possible Tobias Harris trades. One, I liked a lot was with the pacers. I think we got one of the Holidays and TJ Warren. I cant quite remember. But its worth a look.

If I was the Blazers I would take Quickley and RJ Barrett over Simmons and Maxey.

which we already know never happens. Maybe it would at least convince Danny Green to stay.

If he had one ball instead of none is what I meant.  If he showed 50% more effort or care, he would have more value and we probably could have gotten away with Shake instead of both the other two.
