Oh RJ is definitely going and gives the Blazers a total chance to rebuild 

The Knicks make no sense for Lillard unless he has behind the scenes Lebroning going on.  They would be Blazers of the East, at least for the next 2 years.

I bet NBA players saw the Garden during the playoffs and want to play in that atmosphere. It was on absolute fire and unfortunately the Sixers down the pecking order for vets.

I’d take Simmons, maxey and thybulle over those two.

i liked Barrett coming out but I don’t believe Barrett is going to consistently shoot 40% from three like this year. And 8% jump in one season is a massive jump that i really don’t think is sustainable. So far in the league his FT percentage was 61 his rookie season and then 74. So better but not great. I have a feeling his 3 point percentage drops next year. Like quickley as a bench sixth man role.

I think the only player in either of those deals that has any type of potential to be a legitimate superstar is Ben and that’s if you actually believe you get through to him and get him shooting. Which we don’t but some dumb GM likely does.

His ultimate reason for a trade request is so he can win a championship elsewhere.  The knicks aren't getting out of the second round for a couple years.  Randle and Lillard are not even close to enough.

RJ loves basketball though and grinds every year to be better. Ben just doesn't care.

And then randle was bad postseason. Say what you want about the sixers, embiid and lillard is a massively better combo then randle and lillard. Frankly they are likely playing in the ECF with a pretty good chance at being in the finals with the trio of lillard, embiid and Harris. I don’t think randle and lillard with what they are giving in that trade are better than the bucks or nets (healthy) nor as great of a contender as embiid and lillard give you.

I disagree. Thibs is a legit coach, have a real GM now, historic franchise will bring in vets.

Talent will ultimately prevail.  I don't see that Knicks team being better than the Nets, Bucks, probably us and possibly Atlanta.  As bad as Doc was, if Ben played even 25% better we were going to the Easter Conference Finals.

Don’t disagree. However Simmons has things Barrett even if he grinds can never do just based on god given talent. Which is the frustrating part with Ben because if Ben ever had the light bulb go on imo not even close in terms of whom you would take. Ben with a decent jump shot and offensive aggressiveness is a top 10 player in the league. The risk is what we always talk about Ben doesn’t care won’t do it but I tend to think whoever trades for Ben is dumb enough to believe they can get that out of him by removing him out of Philly. 

Randle was the most beloved person in NYC during the end of the regular season and playoffs. I could see Lillard wanting to play in the Garden and bringing the Knicks back to relevancy.

No one is better than the Nets if they are healthy. This is a wrap if all 3 are healthy next year. 

Talent doesn't win because Green said they thought they were gonna walk thru the Hawks with talent.

Even more reason for Dame not to go to the Knicks.  He has 4 good years left.  No time to waste or try to build a roster and than have them gel/grow together.  He gets plugged into our team and there is no break in period.  He and Embiid will be the best duo in basketball.

I totally expect this.  We never get nice things.  But doesn't take away from the fact that he would be an idiot to go there.  They aren't going to win a Championship.

You’re telling me a duo of embiid and lillard isn’t going to bring vets here?

Or that morey getting the job like week before the nba draft last October/November isn’t a real GM that got green and curry for Richardson and horford isn’t better? And drafted maxey, reed and joe on top of all that. 

I like thibs. Imo better coach than doc cause he gets more out of less. That said i think embiid and morey are better than what the Knicks are going to give lillard.

He pairs with Embiid and you have 2 superstars and a well rounded ~20ppg player in Harris.  He goes to the Knicks it's him and the Harris equivalent.  I'd personally pick pairing with another MVP caliber player.
