Find a way to get Draymond back in it.  He and Simmons are redundant.

i'd rather somehow get harrison barnes if sacramento is involved. draymond is nice but he's another non shooter who will kill spacing.

I get Rose has that in his background but I think you forget Morey has done for over a decade now and also isn’t some sort of chump change like players just dismiss that cause rose had one year in New York where they are likely overachieved.

I understand he has that in his background and the Knicks have that however the fact you just assume there’s going to be a superstar out there for the Knicks to grab in FA in 2022. It might just be kyrie, Lavine or beal. And none might even be there. After the lillard trade you don’t have any assets anymore to go get another superstar in a trade even if you have the cap Space. So you’re asking lillard to leave a place where he didn’t have enough help and wants to win a title by going to a team that’s hoping they get a superstar in 2022 but doesn’t have the means to make a trade for one after they trade for Damian Lillard so if they miss out in 2022 he’s basically in Portland 2.0 but at least he’s in NY  

maybe he does want that game with the Knicks, however i don’t think that’s a given considering he’s seen for a decade that him without another superstar has come up short year after year and now asking for a trade due to that reason. It’s hard to overlook the fact he wants out of Portland because he can’t win a title there because he doesn’t have another star with him but you’re sending him to the Knicks who don’t exactly have another superstar but are hoping in a year from now they can get one

Again go look at the free agency class in 2022. Do you think Kevin Durant who spurned the Knicks is going to the knicks? No. I don’t see James Harden leaving the net where he wants to play with Kevin Durant to go to the knicks. Kawhi is likely opting out this year so he’s not even gonna be in play for the Knicks unless it’s a sign and trade type deal this year (which from reports he wants Miami and Dallas). Again this comes down to is likely going to be out there Bradley Beal, Kyrie Irving and Zach Lavine as the other star you’re gonna be able to get in free agency.

So you’re banking on them getting a star in free agency in that class, a class that doesnt have a superstar close to what could be playing with in Joel embiid. I don’t know if I’m Lillard I’m not banking on getting a free agent in a year from now when I just played the entire decade losing and now trying to get to a team that has another superstar so that I could win a title. That’s a huge risk even with Rose that they’re able to pull somebody in and hope they are as great as embiid is the next 3-4 years along with Harris as the third star

It’s as laughable to think that the Sixers couldn’t get veterans to come to the sixers if they had embiid and lillard.  So you honestly believe no veterans would come to Philadelphia if Embiid and Damian Lillard were teamed up? I think Draymond could start but get pulled early and then play minutes with the second unit also.  He knows how to win and can play defense.  I know he has a ****y rep but I would love him if we got Lillard.

If we trade Tyrese and thybulle along with Simmons we are a worse team. It's basically a repeat of bad trades we did in the past. We are losers. Unwise. You only trade Simmons and picks.

I don't hate Draymond the person or player.  I hate the fit.  You don't want to pay 24mil for a glorified bench player.  You'd have Lillard, Curry, Vet 3&D, Harris and Embiid.  I'm not moving Tobi back to the 3 where he struggled.

We have never been comfortable with developing and keeping talent.

agreed. draymond would be great as a backup 5...sometimes 4...but you're not  paying him $24mill to do that.

yeah...i seem to remember him being okay & knocking down some 3's earlier in his career....but he's gotten really, really bad at it over the years.

idk...they kept & developed embiid & simmons...shake & korkmaz too. but once they realize a player isn't going to become elite, they become assets that are used to acquire better players.
