So two guys that have zero offensive game on the same team?

That makes no sense

He would be good for the Lakers and do the dirty work for AD.

I don’t think gobert is going to be there for much longer. I think utah had that realization this postseason it’s not going to work.

And they badly could use someone who plays the defense draymond does 1-4 and toughness he gives them.  I do think it’s a fit cause i think there’s a counter move of trading gobert to get better pieces.

Maybe... Lillard and Kawhi or George, with Randle.

I don't know that the Knicks have enough to give to get 2 of them though.

Who are the top free agents this year that they could sign outright?

Off the top of my head, Lowry and Leonard if he opts out.

Lots of good insight from you guys today!

that would be an excellent move for utah.  idk who would want gobert though. dpoy & all but a dinosaur in today's nba.

George isn’t a FA. Just signed an extension so would have to be a trade. If they are trading for lillard they don’t have the pieces after that trade to make that move. Would be in play with Kawhi except all indications are he wants to go to the mavs or miami. So now you are left giving up all your cap holds including rose to go for kawhi and it’s more likely he goes to Dallas or Miami.

Guys will want to play for the Knicks again over the Sixers, it just what it is.

Embiid has played 45% of his career games. We really want to go there

And If I'm Lillard, I'm seeing an Embiid Lillard combo which ends up just being Lillard in the post season.  Not good enough.  So not picking Philly.

I just got back from 3 days of Atlantic City.  I am hung over and exhausted.  I don't want to take a nap because news will come out as soon as I pass out.  I guess I will just start drinking.  Hurry up press conference!

I just got back from 5 days in OC.

And Michael Jordan was in the town right between us,  in Margate for a fishing tournament. Supposedly Embiid was there the week before.

Dislike!

They are not going to get the value Gobert is actually worth cause of what you said. However I do think there’s a team out there that would make a move for gobert that has some pieces Utah would take that fits much better.

watching utah and an Arizona coach presented me the idea that utah needs that type of guy draymond is. I thought about it, he’s right they don’t have that toughness nor a guy with defensive ability draymond gives them. They’d obviously have to move on from gobert but i don’t think they’d reject at that idea anymore.

RJ, Quickley, Tobbin is a better offer than this.

Meh.  Quickley and Toppin haven't shown much yet (like Maxey).  RJ obviously improved greatly this season.  If the Blazers think he has more upside than Wiseman then maybe they bite since the Knicks have quite a few FRPs to play with this year and in the future.

i saw a gobert to charlotte made up trade rumor...but idk enough about charlotte to form an opinion on how realistic that would be.

Dame to Lakers?

Kings would logically be a player in this as they are the kings. I feel like that’s a team always mentioned cause they are that organization. I’m sure the kings would be fine figuring it out if they got out of hield’s contract. Not sure utah does that though. You’d basically have Conley (assuming re-signed), Mitchell, hield, bogdanovic and green. Basically be running a small ball type lineup without a traditional center. Plus i don’t think they’d move gobert for someone like hield

Lakers don’t have the draft capital after the pelicans trade or players to do it. Would have to all be picks from 2025 and beyond. I don’t see horton-tucker, kuzma getting that deal done

It was a Woj tweet.  The deal mentioned was terrible though.

I tried to find it didn’t see it. Might have been a fake woj account

I have my gf on her phone because she has twitter.  I asked if the check mark was there and she said yes.  Now she can't find it either.

the bridges trade was a complete bust...and he's contributing. that was a rookie for rookie trade though...not a case of "not developing" a young player by trading him away. shamet looked good for a short time but seems to have fallen off a cliff. who else am i missing that has contributed to his new team? a few role players like dario & roco maybe?

and the 2nd part of your post got really weird, man. really weird.

What about the picks we traded to get Orlando's finest? A remedial GM would have brought us a championship by now.

if ben's lack of shooting were a porn habit, he'd be blind by now because it's been going on for 5 years and shows no signs of stopping.

Um xvideos, only fans

The owner and GM have to talk to Dame before he gives his press conference which was originally scheduled for 3:30.

yeah....that gm is long gone, thankfully. he was one of the worst gm's on flat earth.  they tried sticking with fultz & developing him until it became clear there was no way it was going to happen.

the current gm has been better so far. turned a couple useless players into useful players last offseason. we'll have to wait & see how this offseason goes.

Don’t know if this means just in a Sexton deal or in any deal.  Cause i don’t see how the knicks get lillard without including Barrett.

Sexton is a great player.  Knicks, trade for him!

interesting stuff

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-nets-pay-houses-stars-173047523.html

The Nets have remade themselves as the NBA’s star team – and everything that entails.

But just how far has Brooklyn gone?

"Can’t Knock the Hustle” author Matt Sullivan on "The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz,” produced by Mike Ryan:

A very high-ranking official with the Nets who had a lot to do with the money said basically, there’s a blank check as soon as these guys got here – whether that’s buying a girlfriend or a girlfriend on the side a house in California for a week, whether that’s just putting up money for the boys and the homeboys and equipment for random s***, they’re totally cool with that.

Just renting a house on the team dime. These guys don’t pay for a lot of personal stuff themselves. And so, the financial team of the Nets would kind of come every week or so, they’d be like, "OK, we thought we had this under control. We’ve got to redo the budgets every week.” And they were like it was just a new thing every damn time.

There’s a lot of things that the Nets do that aren’t kosher. There’s a reason they have this kind of kremlin-esque wall around everything they do. During the middle of COVID, they were working out half the team – well, really, Kyrie, KD and their friends on the team – out in Kobe’s old gym in California. You weren’t allowed to do that during COVID.

They were running a secret camp the whole time, trying to get Kyrie and KD in shape.

Salary-cap circumvention is a serious charge. The Collective Bargaining Agreement restricts player compensation to only terms specified in uniform contracts. Consequences for violations could be extreme – large fines or even voided contracts.

Hopefully the league actually comes down hard on them.
