I feel Like the last quote saying billups can make them better but how it’s currently constructed isn’t a championship caliber team is a direct shot at their GM trying to say billups becoming the coach is enough to make them a championship contender.

This is Fitz is at the airport level stuff. So take it for what its worth. But the word on facebook is that Simmons is packed up and his stuff is moved out. And his cars are packed up and shipping out now. Someone else says " youre a millionaire. You dont move your couch. You buy a new one for your new house. Dont you think youll need it here when you come back? Hes not planning on coming back."

Now Ill throw a little wet blanket on this- I watched the whole 40 minute video on youtube touring that house Ben bought in LA, and the developer said the furniture comes with the house- it was designed to be in it. And if you watched it, you kinda see that furniture belongs there. Im not sure why he would be replacing that furniture with his own. Makes me doubt the facebook post.

If he emptied his NJ house, thats big.

 he’s only owed 35 next year.  Then jumps to 38, 41,43.8 and then 46.6. Really the last deal it’s an expiring contract so can be used in multiple ways  

theres been bad contracts to get traded so really i don’t think makes it impossible to deal. People also once thought Chris Paul’s contract was bad when he signed his extension with Houston and a year later people thought he was close to the end with multiple years left on the contract at 34. Just going to likely have to take back a bad contract as part of the deal which doesnt mean you can’t get better fits to what you had. Wiggins contract was once thought to be bad contact before we got to the point of where it was an expiring deal. 

also it only takes one bad GM to want him. I’m guessing there’s one out there. There always is. In theory the kings could deal Barnes and hield for gobert. Technically it works.

I think you can make a better offensive lineup with other options. I think you can get a better fit with Green at PF but I think hes totally washed. I went for a team who can score it but I think is also maybe the best defensive team as well.

I’d love klay if i knew what the heck we was like after the torn acl and Achilles. I’d probably go beal or harden only cause of that. I’d say harden but I’m not sure harden, luka and durant could all co-exist together. If klay was healthy and what he was pre-injury I’d easily take him.  
 

luka, harden, durant, giannis and embiid. (If klay is healthy and pre-injury i go him over harden)

Kawhi vs. KD is tough because he’s amazing but i probably go durant just cause i think he’s arguably the best player on the planet. Take giannis over AD only cause i trust giannis to play more especially if embiid misses games and i think he can defend multiple positons.

The bigger issue (updated my post) it’s not a particularly great FA class to replace him. Gonna need another trade using assets or horford trade exception. 

also might just be better signing him and then using his contract at the deadline or next offseason to match salaries in a deal. I’m assuming he gets a 2 year deal.

Its not even about the FA class. Its about the resources available to try to replace him. We have vet min contracts, all or a portion of our MLE, and the Horford exception. 

He just had a 2 year 30M deal. We arent going to get a player nearly the same level for the money we can pay.

It was important to do all we could do to keep him since we would be allowed to keep our own player over the cap. But it really doesnt sound like he wants to be here. 

Id be trying to think of S&T deals to get Duncan Robinson here from Miami. He is a RFA who sounds interested in testing the market.

That D sounds about even with LaVine's if I recall correctly. 

Im thinking S&T Green + Hill for  S&T Robinson. Add a 2nd or a few if you need to.

Depending on how soured Miami is on Hero maybe you can expand it. Green and Shake or Thybulle for Robinson and Hero. 

Or, if you could get a couple 1sts to flip in another trade for a star maybe Tobi for Robinson and Hero + 2 1sts? Now you have more assets to land Dame/Beal/LaVine.
