Depending on how soured Miami is on Hero maybe you can expand it. Green and Shake or Thybulle for Robinson and Hero. 

Or, if you could get a couple 1sts to flip in another trade for a star maybe Tobi for Robinson and Hero + 2 1sts? Now you have more assets to land Dame/Beal/LaVine.

 

 

Thought Heat were in on Sexton so they will use Hero and Precious as pieces to get him I imagine. 

LaVine was a 2.2 and 1.8 DWS last two years. He tries on defense but just can't seem to process it fast enough

Dont know, just spitballing. It seems we need to make a trade to adequately replace green. Not only need a shooter, but a starting level shooter since Green started here. Gonna be tough to do on an MLE or vet min.

What if give up every 1st but could keep Maxey to get Beal. Would that change your opinion

Hmmmm, that is interesting.  Yeah, I would do that assuming we had to use both Maxey and Thybulle for Dame.

How many firsts are we talking like into 2028-2030? Also would have to get an extension done with beal as part of the deal. He’s got a PO after the season.

He has the work ethic, but dont you have to doubt he develops much after playing through his senior season. He wasnt a raw 19 year old draft pick. He had 4 years of college experience. Now 2 years of NBA experience. And has yet to develop any offensive skill at all. He is 24. I think there has to be some doubt that he ever develops.

Its not like he is just going to wake up  one season and improve his 3% by like 8%.  Youd think we would see some sort of stepwise progression, but it hasnt started yet.

I think we could only go to 2027 with the 1sts. Our own this year, then 2023, 2025, and 2027. You could do pick swaps in between those years. To add any more they would have to be from other teams.

If can keep Maxey, in my opinion you give up every pick you can. Even if Maxey turns into nothing more a 32 year old version of Rose

I dont remember. But Im not sure you can go farther out than that. In that case we might only be allowed to give 3 1sts. 

However, you can still stipulate that the pick, if in the top 6 goes to the other team. It might be a "fake" 1st, but it still counts as another 1st in the deal.

Picks would be irrelevant. And, as much later picks, we are extremely unlikely to be able to draft a player with the potential Maxey has shown. He is far more valuable than the picks. Im against giving up multiple picks AND Maxey. If it were one or the other, we should want to do picks only, even if its every pick we are possibly allowed to give.

Thats a long list of guys who are not available, or who dont make any sense. Maybe Paul George. Thats it.

When Morey says he wants an all star cailber player, emphasis should be on the word caliber. Thats what Tobias Harris supposedly was when we got him. Guys who havent made an all star game, but who could.

When a certain reporter or NBA insider says we can do better than Sexton.... who on that list is that guy?

Fox, Sexton, Ingram.... they seem to be the most likely candidates. Lillard, Beal, LaVine are all long shots.

That’s a horrible package for Lillard. If he’s actually on the block, there’s no way there isn’t a better offer than that.

Why would the Blazers pay Schroder 4/80+ 

It has to be fake. The only way possible is that Lillard basically said thats the only place he is going to go. But I dont think he has that kind of leverage with multiple years remaining on his deal.

Take Maxey out and add Thybulle and I could get on board. I wouldn’t love it but if it’s the best deal they could get for Ben then do it.
