That’s the maddening part with Simmons. You need him for a series against the bucks cause of his ability to play defense and make Giannis’ job much tougher. Sadly he’s too much of a ahole to go out improve his offensive game  so they’d just get killed playing 5 on 4 on offense.

Exactly. His defense is meaningless when he holds the offense back so significantly. All he has ever need to do is just become a decent FT shooter and even just an average mid-range shooter. 

Giannis = not afraid to fail

Simmons = afraid to look bad on Instagram

Throw in some picks if we must but the money works.

Off ball hand is pretty much there to steady the ball and nothing else, I wouldn't pay attention to it. Steph shoots with hand on top of the ball as well

But really consistency is key

Nobody has a perfect shot. Also Kobe Bryant shot with his elbow out but he straightened it as he released. Ben starts with elbow out brings it in the pops it back out as he releases and he would still be fine if he put the work into that shot everyday

I hope he returns back to what he was prior to those two injuries. He’s one of the guys i love watching play the game. I know people view him as a Star i still think he’s underrated because he’s had to play in the shadow of durant and curry for the last 3 years before his injuries. 

Perfect form might come down to posture and shoulder flexibility.  If you have internally rotated shoulders, it could cause a natural elbow flare.

Pretty much the same physical tools.  I couldn't help but think of Ben's wasted potential as I watched Giannis drop 50 in a close out game.  

Then I listened to The Cuz's opening this morning and he was roasting "Two-Five" over some birthday pics or something that he posted yesterday as Giannis was on his way to a title.  

 

Morey can be like "see, Ben doesn't need a shot to be a mini Giannis" when exploring trades.

We know what he needs and what he will never be at least in the next few years but doesn't mean we can't convince other teams he has potential.

I actually think a better tactic is to go about it and say, "if you want to win a title you are going to have to likely play and be able to beat the bucks and Giannis. Simmons for all of his downfalls on offense is still one of the few players in the league who can make it much tougher and work harder for Giannis to do what he wants to do which puts more pressure on guys like middleton and jrue to step up every night. Plus he is only 25 so there’s some potential he develops more offensively”

not saying that works but that’s how I’d lie through my teeth to sell Simmons to teams. 

What are Giannis numbers vs Joel and vs Simmons? Joel might be the best defender on him in the league.

I know the numbers from the first bucks game where Simmons played were in Simmons favor. Wasn’t until Ben got into foul trouble late in that game that Giannis really began going off. The other two games embiid missed one and Simmons didn’t play in either

Yeah, I'm sure the sixers will totally trick people. It's either teams believe they can unlock Ben's offense or they can't.
