Well, Im sure you can do tobi plus a bunch of picks for someone. Just the point- the Ben trade I brought up doesnt have to be the one and only move. It left a lot of assets on the table for more to be done.

I know and I agree with your approach (the only one lol).

I don't think the sixers will have a choice but, go your route anyways .

Yeah. We have been talking about Beal, Lillard and LaVine forever, and they just keep sticking with their teams.

The chance of any of them becoming available in time to make a draft trade is extremely slim. After that, teams will be  unlikely to trade them till the deadline (if then). Plus, even if 1 comes available, we will have to contend with other teams. And the players "wish list" BS that happens these days which we usually arent high enough on. We have also already missed out on players because of fractured relationships (CP3/Morey, Harden/Fertitta/Morey) Paul George is another who would probably not come here because of Doc.

I think even Fox is out. Supposedly SAC didnt want to offer him. And now theres the rumor that they are shopping pick 9 for a player who will help them win now. So if theyre looking for that, theyre not going to trade Fox.

People need to face it and accept that we probably arent getting that level of star back for Ben. Its fun to talk about, but it doesnt mean you cant like any other deal that comes along. Daryl's MO seems to be going for the speculative star. Harden was young, coming off the bench still and had a horrible playoffs when Daryl snagged him.

Morey hasn't proven anything and seems to have issues getting stuff past Doc. People are hoping for a lot that probably isnt gonna happen.

Obviously not the end all be all. Its just one person's opinion.  But something to think about when considering trade value for Ben.

Warriors "Big 3" are pressuring the front office to trade for Beal.

If they want Beal, he will want to go there. Beal will be out of the question for us.

Obviously he would go play in Cali with Clay and Steph instead of Philly with just Embiid who will be injured in the post-season.

It also sounds like neither Lillard nor McCollum are available.

The Portland Trail Blazers have received trade calls from teams interested in CJ McCollum with offers of a pick in the top part of the draft.

The Blazers aren't entertaining those types of offers as they are in a win-now phase around Damian Lillard.

Or Siakam, which makes more sense.

To me, Steph absolutely has the clout to put pressure on ownership to win now and he deserves another 1 or 2 chances at a ring.

To go back to the CLE talk, is that the best deal? Maybe not. But if it's the "only" deal then you kinda have to take it.

I think Embiid is done sugar coating his feelings about playing with Ben. And while they seem civil off the court, on it is definitely going to be a problem if they need to get back together and give it another shot.

The one I posted was just made up based on the rumor of which teams were trying to get the 3rd pick. I said we should try to jump in a 3 way with Toronto and Cleveland.

Its not a real offer, but its better than the reported Brogdon deal. Id love if they could make it a reality. It improves us drastically, and leaves all of our assets and more to make another trade for someone better still. To me, it is probably the ideal scenario considering we arent actually going to be getting Lillard, Beal, or LaVine.

Someone on Facebook says there's an Orlando offer of fultz, Ross, bamba, and #5 for Ben.

Not sure if that's true. Don't love it. But you actually might still get Suggs there.

I think siakam is also more obtainable at the moment. Beal hasn’t said he wants out of Washington and the wizards really aren’t in a rush to trade him. To me It’s in the warriors best interest if they are going to make a splash really to do it around the draft if the package is centered around Wiggins, wiseman, 7 and 14. If you wait til after you either have to take players for the team you want to trade with or figure another way to make it work which feels like it would be harder

Uh oh looks like people are starting to realize sixers probably have to go the route you want to take lol.....

Only blazers player the sixers can get is CJ, it's the one that makes the most sense. If the blazers refuse to give up on winning with Lillard then the only movable piece that can get a different player Is CJ.

Yep.  And blazers aren't taking a high draft pick for Lillard because they want to win now.  So it's gotta be an established vet if they move him.

I bet the absolute best we can do for Ben is some package around McCollum.

Or what beat writers and national reporters have been saying for weeks now which is there’s a chance Ben Simmons is brought back until the Sixers feel they get a package they want to trade for. That’s always been that scenario and it’s been discussed by National reporters as well as local guys has a chance to happen. As painful as that sounds that’s always been a scenario here  just not widely accepted

They may have never had any intentions of trading him at all. Could of just been the massive speculation that they wanted to and the media ran with it like always and are now back tracking now that they realize Ben isn't worth a super star

I believe from the day they signed morey to be team president it was always their goal to get another star here to team up with embiid. Whether or not they accomplish that goal is a different story.

I think fans and the media ran with it that they just were going to trade him at all cost because of how everything end of this year. I’m not sold that’s how morey and the sixers ever really viewed it.

And it shouldn't be.

Doesn’t mean it won’t happen. I hope he’s traded but i think there’s a better percentage he is back then people are giving it.

This is what I would do. Unless its like a top 5 pick.

I sort of expect the disappointment but it's really not worth discussing.  It's trade season. So trades are being discussed.

And if Ben is still on the team by the start of the season everyone should be pissed

Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Spencer Dinwiddie each have interest in joining the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times.

The Lakers pursued a trade for Lowry at the deadline but were unable to agree to terms with the Toronto Raptors.

DeRozan is a native of Los Angeles and remains one of the league's best individual scorers in the halfcourt. DeRozan is a native of Los Angeles.

Dinwiddie also grew up in the Los Angeles area and is recovering from a partially torn ACL. Dinwiddie declined his $12.3 million player option for 21-22 with the Brooklyn Nets.

But what about taxes!! 🙄😆

If we're offered Kevin Love and Sexton for Tobias, Darryl better run to the phone and get the deal done.
