Interesting. Wasserman confirms ’s report that the Thunder offered Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and No. 6 to Detroit for No. 1.

I posted that last night which is why I brought it up.  Unfortunately Ben is not a good as Cunningham.

But maybe if we added enough picks, and Maxey? Not sure...

Makes sense timeline wise for the Pistons

I really don't understand it and at what point do you want to win.

Presti isn't stopping until he owns 2 consecutive drafts of first round picks.

I don't know much about college but from the few highlight videos I have watched, Cunnigham doesn't seem that impressive.  His shot looks good but he seems slow.  And he isn't a big dude either.  How do you guys see his game translating to the NBA?

They declined

raptors reportedly shopping siakam...and at the same time reportedly interested in simmons. maybe ben for siakam + an asset or two is a possibility. then the sixers could move tobi for backcourt help. idk...just speculating.  siakam is kind of a spaz...but he's a high energy guy & much better defender than tobi. not sure how i'd feel about trading for him.

He is like the trying version of Ben but still stinks.  No thanks.

https://www.si.com/nba/raptors/news/toronto-raptors-pascal-siakam-philadelphia-76ers-trade-discussions

"He's someone that's being offered for trades," Fischer said. "It seems pretty clear that he is the main piece that the Raptors are willing to move to get one of those [star] guys."

If Toronto can't swing a deal with Washington or Portland for Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard, the team has repeatedly been connected to the Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons.

"I heard it from someone I trust very very closely that Daryl Morey was doing intel work on Pascal Siakam and has been doing it since the combine," Fischer said.

Swapping Siakam and Simmons would allow the two all-star caliber players to start fresh with new organizations after inconsistent and ultimately disappointing 2020-21 seasons.

According to Fischer, Toronto has been extremely reluctant to move OG Anunoby in trade talks. The 24-year-old is already an All-Defensive quality defender and showed significant offensive improvement last season. Considering his contract, age, and development trajectory it would certainly take a lot for Masai Ujiri to move the young forward.

i'm torn. he shot 37% & 36% on threes in consecutive years...then fell to 30% last season.

he's from cameroon....so you know who probably wants him in philly?

Siakam's contract would be Tobi 2.0.  He would be a decent 3rd piece but we aren't improving much if we swap him for Ben, even if we are trading Tobi and getting other guys who fit better.

2021-22 Contract details by year 27 $33,003,936 $33,003,936 $33,003,936 $33,003,936($63,563,136)
2022-23 Contract details by year 28 $35,448,672 $35,448,672 $35,448,672 $35,448,672($99,011,808)
2023-24 Contract details by year 29 $37,893,408 $37,893,408 $37,893,408 $37,893,408($136,905,216)

I would be wanting pick 4 if we took Siakam.

He is Ben with a jumper

He seems slower, shorter and has a smaller frame.

idk...at least siakam is a willing shooter & wouldn't destroy spacing & he's a 80% ft shooter.

then something like tobi for mccollum...idk...might work.

I don’t see the sixers keeping Harris if they acquired siakam.

Joel, McCollum, Siakam might get us to the conference finals but I don't think we can win a ring with them.

yeah siakam would seem to at least fit the offense. hate his contract but there could be upside there

yeah, i'd prefer someone better than mccollum in the backcourt. he was just the first name that came to mind for tobi. i just want to see joel w/o simmons killing the offensive spacing. perfect world, i'd like to see embiid not have to shoulder the scoring load all season long so he wouldn't be so worn out come playoff time.

I like McCollum more than Siakam.  His numbers without Dame on the court are quite impressive.  If we do attempt to trade ben for a star or fringe star and it doesn't work, I like Ben for McCollum more than for Siakam.  However, I don't think CJ is available unless/until Dame gets moved.

My top 10 in the 2021 class

Mobley
Cade
Green
Suggs
Barnes
Wagner
Bouknight
Giddy
Moody
Kuminga (All Potential but that floor is high)

my only interest in this draft is to see who the sixers trade the 28th pick for.

Would not want Lowry at 3 years 90 mil. Let him go to Miami. I feel like that had the potential blow up in their face.

isnt there a wing in the late first round worth adding? or at least a SG?

No CJ is the only asset the Blazers have that they can move to bring somebody different in that Lillard could possibly compete with. That's why the only move they said the sixers have with the blazers is Ben for CJ.
