i'm reading elsewhere that pompey is famous for writing crap he gets from agents...so most likely m. brown's agent trying to drum up interest.

Not surprising. Was listening to the Ricky podcast they went in on Pompey about an article where it was clearly a slander piece to protect some of the FO people and it came from likely scott O’Neil

also i don’t know how true it is but Michael Levine on the podcast said he had from a reputable source that the sixers already made a promise to one draft target. Twiw

I don’t know if Levine was being sarcastic about it but he threw it out there saying it was a source that was reputable.

there are a handful of pg/sg projected to go in the teens that the sixers could potentially move up for using their 2nds.

I need to research on why the big drop off because he was projected a top 5 pick going into the year

40% from the field, 35% from 3, and 4 assists a game don't go well together.

At least he shot 75% from FT so he has decent mechanics.

Saying that he is the type of PG that falls and guys go years later well that was dumb.

His Dad even said he was garbage

Greg Anthony spoke more like an analyst than a father.

He was blunt, critical and honest. He didn’t hold back when asked about his son Cole’s freshman season at North Carolina.

"I thought he had a horrible year. I thought he was really bad,” the former NBA point guard said on a Zoom call on Monday. "Now he got hurt and he was hurt earlier than when he actually ended up having to shut it down, and that had an effect on him, but he could’ve been so much bett er.”

unc had a lousy team so anthony wound up taking a lot of bad shots...from what i've read.

I still like terry more. I think Anthony is going to be a nice nba player. Likely a fringe starter more of a bench role player. However i think terry has a chance to be a very good starter. Probably going to have to move up. Frankly i think in this draft it’s much more realistic in trying to move up then in others. The talent from 10-25 isn’t a great gap. From 25-40 it’s a crapshoot. and there’s nice role player type talent in the second round. Plus with covid Messing with workouts i wouldn’t be surprised if teams rather get multiple picks to try and capitalize. I think second rounders this year actually are gonna wind up being more valuable then previous years

Terry does have thar one skill teams will be drooling over. I would like to know how much weight he can put on and hold before the season starts.

Seems a little like trey youngs story. Big time scorer who fell because of size and teams worried about efficiency.

Though trey was a better shooter in college...

But I think the shooting percentage and efficiency are the reasons why Cole fell.

I don't know what the future holds for the Sixers, but the east is going to be a beast next year. Toronto has some young stars getting experience, similarly Boston has re-emerged now the Kyrie is no longer there; then there is the Nets who were already playoff level without Kyrie and Kevin Durant. It will not be a cake walk for any Sixers team. Makes me wonder if last year with Butler was our best chance.

Im not saying its gonna be the 6ers year, but I dont see what Toronto has. Theyre likely to lose Van Fleet next. They really only have Siakam left. Lowry is old and so is Gasol.

Boston.... Kemba is getting up there. Brown seems to have maxed out. Smart is what he is... Hayward is a shell of his former self. Tatum is becoming elite but hes the only growth they have left while the rest of the team stagnates or regresses. Theyre good. I dont see this group getting over the hump unless they make more big moves.

The Nets are probably gonna be real good for a while. But that assumes Kyrie is healthy in the post season which is rare, and that Durant can be what he was while he tries to get over an achilles tear in his 30s. Thats not super promising. Can easily see the injury bug biting that team and it never really reaches its potental.

The door is still open for us if its even possible for a coach to make our pieces work even a little bit better together. And of course, hopefully some smart moves this offseason.

Better coaching or not they ain't getting by the Bucks, Heat, Nets, and possibly Pacers if everyone is healthy.

The collection of talent on the Sixers doesn't fit at all and doesn't matter if they have more talent.

Heat are really well coached with less talent than the 6ers. Coaching maybe could get us back over the Heat.

Pacers too.

Bucks and Nets are the biggest issues.  Especially the Nets if you can assume full health.

Please Elton... Kira Lewis! Trade one of our stars, edge to Ben Simmons, to Cleveland or Chicago for there 1rst pick and a good player. Then pick Cole Anthony at 21.

it's the nba.  teams usually involve their superstars in decisions.

Tax payer funded stadiums and arenas are by far the worst thing about pro sports. I absolutely hate it.

The Tweet is a little misleading:

The team is proposing to finance the project using the state Neighborhood Improvement Zone (NIZ) program, which allows development bonds to be issued based on future tax revenues from businesses within a certain area. It was used to fund the construction of an arena in Allentown.

The document says that no direct appropriation of taxpayer money would be needed, and that the NIZ would be funded through future city and state tax revenue. It suggests that Sixers representatives have already discussed the proposal with leaders of local and state transit agencies. And it touts a promise of $1 billion in economic benefits for communities of color through construction and operations.

Aerial image of the Penn's Landing area where the Sixers are exploring the possibility of building a new arena.

I think it could work - especially if you turn it into an entire entertainment complex with retail, dining, and event spaces.
