Probably a stupid suggestion, but it seems that with all of Chicago's guards now, it might make more sense for them to accept Tobi in a LaVine trade, rather than Ben (assuming they continue playing him at guard). Harris isnt quite as good. Add all the picks and players you need to make that one happen.

Then, Ben for Ingram. This team can compete with any.

likely Tobi for LaVine never happens. And maybe not Ben for Ingram either. But Id give up every other asset we had to try to make them work and create that squad cause then you might actually get ring chasers coming here. They might actually be good enough.

If you can trade Tobi + DG +  picks for Zach and Markenen there’s no reason to trade Simmons for Ingram. He’d honestly be just about the perfect 5th player on that starting 5 given the shooters all around and lack of defense.

Dude really hasn't take the next step and his Dad is a major headache. He tried to start an AAU team, a private school, and his Emoni has been on 3 or 4 AAU teams in last two Years. Maybe his talent will trump all, but these are red flags. Paolo Banchero is better in my opinion

So as of now,  same starters. Bench improved from Scott and Howard to Niang and Dwight.

 

 

Green signing also means we have no BAE, and only have the smaller tax payers MLE. So that's basically all used up on Niang.

Unless we can trade Ben before the start of the league year and be back under the tax by then. 

We now only have the trade exception,  and trades, or vet min contracts to make any more moves. 

 

Only thing I can see is maybe Lou or Reggie Jackson on a vet min. But we may just play Maxey abs be done.
