i've seen tobi pump fake/dribble his way out of open threes enough that i'd give markkanen a shot if another asset is coming philly's way.

Harris is an all around better player. Better scorer. And not just a better defender, but better utility as a switchable piece. Markkanen is pretty much set as only a 4, on offense and defense. The only hope would be that his 3pt shooting being that much better than Harris just makes him a better fit next to Embiid and would clear a ton of space for him.

It would be nice if you could trade Harris for Markkanen and a wing piece. While you downgrade a bit at the 4, you get improved shooting from that position and transfer the talent from the front court out to the wings where its more important. Markkanen and Satoransky would be great.

Makes absolutely no sense. We had no 4 depth last year. Now we still wont. Its only going to be Niang there. And Petrusev is probably already a better player than him. I hope he dominates SL so good than it somehow changes Morey's mind.

I want to say Satoranksy got dealt to the Pelicans in the sign and trade for ball.

Oh...

They actually dont have much enticing perimeter talent that theyd probably be willing to put in to the trade. Maybe Coby White but not sure they do that.

Ben did not take that open dunk, but overlooked were those 4 missed layups in game 7 by Harris.

I’d have to look at their cap situation but i don’t think they could even fit Harris and have enough coming back financially to make it work

Yeah he tends to turn into Robert Covington at the basket at critical times

Ben turtles up in big situations but Tobi should not get off so easily.  He has a fragile mentality too.  He is fine when things are good but adversity tends to affect him mentally.  You can see it with his body language.

since he was mentioned here.

Reggie Jackson has agreed to a two-year, $22 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

The contract is the maximum the Clippers can pay Jackson under CBA rules as a team over the cap.

It depends on how much you'd be willing to overpay markkanen

my bad....that's frank mason

[Weiss] From this AM: The Tristan Thompson trade is still being finalized, as the Celtics could work out a short-term deal to sign-and-trade for Dennis Schröder per @JakeLFischer & @MikeAScotto. Some salary maneuvering required for an S&T or to give him MLE.

Odd thought he went to the Hawks in a trade, Thompson.

Not sure helps the Celts. They got 3 guys are thrive with the ball in their hands.

he is better than kemba but that’s not saying much cause i think kemba is a shell of what he was with Charlotte due to the knee. Also really don’t like the Celtics team besides brown and Tatum. I like smart but feels like he’s either on the decline or just regressing. Williams is a solid backup center. I feel like Stevens is trying to recreate the roster with the starting lineup of kyrie, Tatum, Hayward, brown, horford. Meanwhile Richardson is no where close to Hayward. Horford is at the end of his career. And Schroeder isn’t Kyrie.

Free agent class of 2022 is dwindling  really feels like kyrie and beam might be the only two stars hitting that market

An absolute steal for the Bucks and was saying for a while Grizzlies have too many guys

Welp....all of this activity and we have done nothing!!  This is on the heals of George Hill being our big in season acquisition.

Tell me again about how great Morey is?

Please.

As of now we are running it back with the same starting 5. But Danny Green doesnt like how the fans behave, and Ben Simmons clearly doesnt even want to play here at all anymore.

Im sure this will be a fun season.

Not sure how much longer Daryl can delay a Simmons deal. There are those who truly feel its Lillard/Beal or bust. But I really dont think there are that many fans who would hold it against him for taking the best offer out there at this point. Whether it be Sexton and assets, or a deal with the Kings, or Brogdon and assets.

Even if he waits for Lillard, at this point doing Ben plus players and picks you cant even fill out the rest of the roster with league minimum guys because pretty much everyone who can play is signed already. Its kind of too late. Or else we will see the team regress this season even with Lillard on the roster.

Yeah he’s been pretty terrible this off-season so far.

The sixers problems were never going to be solved via free agency this offseason. They had no cap to spend due to poor contracts given by brown and brand. Legitimately this team is in the place they are cause the last offseason we were going to have significant cap space to spend brand and the sixers thought it was a brilliant idea to pay 33 year old declining, bum knee and center al horford $100 mil.

has morey done a great job this offseason? I don’t think so but a lot their inactivity besides trading Ben part speaks more to the sixers previous regimes giving out bad contracts and not wanting to give Jimmy Butler a 5 year max and giving it to Harris. Really with all the cap we had after the raptors loss to spend in FA, we have a loss of a 2025 first and green. That’s horrific.
