Warriors' fan here. I got nothing solid but I am starting to get the feeling GS is going to end up with Ben...not sure how I feel about it and i'm afraid they are going to give up too much.

What is giving you this feeling?

just some of the offseason moves and not going after a quality backup PG, the rumors that Ben wants to go to California, and then after the Giants game last night, out of nowhere, Greg Papa who is the current 49ers broadcaster, former Warriors broadcaster, and a bay area radio host says he is hearing chatter of a big Warriors trade coming.

Reading between the lines, it's clear Dame wants out but he is doing everything in his power to pretend its not him that is pushing the trade.

I think some of the things he’s said makes you believe he’d like to be out of there. How many players have come out and said we aren’t a championship team with just a coaching change and say that their Gm feels otherwise? That’s usually a in house stay in house convo. Then publicly say we missed on the guys we wanted in FA? I don’t know if he comes to the sixers but I’ll bet by this time next year he’s not on the blazers.

someones gonna need to blow POR away with an offer then. Since Dame won't come out and say he wants out the team looking to acquire him is going to need to give up with more. what an annoying situation.

I think at some point this season it’s going to boil over with dame when he realizes his team is likely behind the Lakers, Suns, warriors, jazz, nuggets (even more when murray comes back), Dallas, clippers and potentially even the Grizzlies and playing in the play in game only to get crushed in the first round.

I love it. Tolliver is worthless. Reed is meh. Joe looks like he can have a long career as a shooter but thats a dime a dozen. 

To me thats Ben and Shake + fillers, for Fox and Hield. Thats a win.

If we have Hield and Curry, Joe would have been buried deep on the bench for at least 2 years anyway.  Not bad.

yeah. And Kork, and Green. And Niang who can play some minutes at the 3. Theres plenty there. We also have his Arkansas teammate from the same class who is a good shooter and maybe better overall scorer. Hope he gets more minutes in the next summer league game. 

Theres plenty of shooting on the roster. Some more in the pipeline. And tons in every draft and free agency.

I like Joe and was a big proponent of drafting him, but I wouldnt hesitate to put him in a trade.

Quickley and Toppin both played extremely well in the summer league so far and might come down to who the Blazers want

At one point he said he was more interested in playing for a contender than  money. In the end he ended up in Chicago on a Sign and Trade because he went for the money.

DeRozen was up to 6.9 assists a game last year and got lost in the shuffle because he was in San Antonio.

Bill Simmons' latest podcast says that he thinks Lavine would be a good trade that he thinks makes logical sense. Thinks they got DeRozan to replicate LaVine (not sure how that really works, cuz LaVine is a killer from 3). Thinks that LaVine saying I just want my respect, means that he doesn't think they'll max Lavine. Says the trade would be Lavine for Simmons straight up. Also mentioned that Thad was traded, and he was Zach's best friend on the team.

The Bulls clearly don't think he is a max player and a reason why they went out and got DeRozen who is a similar player. They traded away his best friend on the team in Thad. Then Zach says this a few weeks ago. 

"I outplayed my contract. I’ve been very loyal to Chicago. I like Chicago. I just want my respect. If that’s now or later, it’s something we’ve got to work out internally.”

We have seen guys go the Olympics, play with the best players, and the next year show another level of their game. LaVine has tangible skills that translate to the playoffs as well , we saw Booker take that next step, and they play similar.

I dont think LaVine has any chance of happening.

We would need him to pull a Kawhi and just stop showing up. And I dont think hes going to do that.

Otherwise, they have Ball, LaVine, DeRozan, Markkanen (or whoever he is traded for eventually) and Vucevic. Its an awesome starting 5 thats going to make some noise in the east.

He may want to get paid. And he may have to wait till next year. But for now, he should enjoy that team he is on. Most other stars are wishing their team would have brought in guys like DeRozan and Vucevic, and even Ball. Beal or Lillard would die for their FO to pull off those kinds of moves.

LaVine is in a good situation. They now have a nice team, and Chicago is an attractive destination to free agents and potential trade targets based on the prestive of the franchise. If they dont pay up, he will get as a free agent in the summer. But its not like its such a bad situation that he should force his way out immediately.
