I don't think Ben would nearly fetch that.

On one hand, he's an interesting fit on a GS team with shooters.  On the other hand, I don't think GS wants a player like Ben.  They built that team the way they did for a reason.

They have Ben already in Green. That team doesn't work with two non shooters

I've seen that discussed on the other board. 

It seems like the most realistic and underwhelming move we can make but getting rid of the horford contract,  I'll take it.

yeah...there are variations that could make that trade a little better or a little worse...scott instead of josh but throw in a pick, etc....but i think it would make sense for both teams.  rozier isn't a knock down 3 point shooter but he can at least create.

coming up with realistic trades involving tobi is almost impossible...his contract is that bad.

Always a dumb team that will still see him as a great fit as a stretch four. 

Is a few players that the Kings have that I would not mind trading for.

Bogdan Bogdanović is a restricted FA as well so work a sign an trade. 

But they didn't play Giles at all on a consistent basis just like Buddy near the end of the year.

Harris is better than Joe Harris for the Nets.

Raptors can use more talent outside of Siakam and aging Lowry.

Siakam didn't pick up a basketball during COVID and it absolutely showed. He showed he was very much a #2 guy. 

raptors are cooked. they attempted to "run it back" w/o kawhi and had a successful season...but age is catching up to lowry, gasol, & ibaka...and they're about to lose vanvleet in free agency. they might be looking to rebuild.

I know we are throwing out trades with Ben and/or Joel, although they have said that is not an option, simply because there is nothing else to do right now. Furthermore, I am interested in first seeing what a new coach can do with what we have. 

 

With that said, I have been wondering if Ben was healthy for the Celtics series do we win a game, are we competitive but still loose the series, or do we win the series. 

What if Joel was the one hurt and Ben was not and played. Would the results have been the same (swept) or do we win one or more games. I don't think with Ben alone they win the series.

Its hard for me to pull the trigger on this. If a new coach can get Ben Simmons shooting even if it is just mid range jumpers then that changes so much. In the future I envision I can see Ben and Joel being similar Murray and Jokic. Granted I don't expect Ben to shoot as well as Murray but if he develops (actually he already has it just needs to use it) a mid range shot when a similar team makeup could work.

You are giving Ben WAY too much credit and leeway. Murray and Ben are NOTHING alike 

You can compare Ben to Draymond Green at this point. Tired of the potential tag on him. He had an entire first year wear he didn't play to work on his shot and absolutely nothing. He is who he is

They were previously rumored names to be included in our search, so I believe it. 

Not sure that its been confirmed, but I wouldnt really expect a woj bomb until something is final. Wouldnt expect someone big like that reporting just on interviews.
