Man i miss Butler

Watching Jimmy Butler right now makes me wanna throw Elton Brand off the Walt Whitman. And I’ll follow.

He saved this game 3 separate times tonight with his relentless defense and 2 ridiculous shots made purely out of effort.

clippers are f'd...they gave up so much to get mediocre paul george who's never been a winner anywhere.  they would've been better off keeping sga, gallinari, & all those 1st round draft picks...they gave up 5 of them    and 2 pick swaps

So now that the Clippers are done, will the Lue press conference happen this week or next?

from gws2: Nothing has changed from what I have been told. It’s still Lue at the top barring a complete breakdown in contract negotiations

i don't know what mystery coach sixers' fans seem to be hoping for.  seems like everyone will be pissed if it's lue...also if it's d'antonio...or if it's donovan.  wright already said he's not interested. who's left that would make sixers' fans happy?

this team is more than a chris paul away from winning a championship, imo.  and the only reason you'd trade for a 35-36 y/o paul at $40+ mill per year is if he's the last missing piece.

If the sixers somehow hire Mike D’antoni Then this team needs to just rebuild the whole goddamn thing. He is possibly the worst fit as a head coach with our roster. First he wants to go up and down which you have a center that’s not capable of doing that. Secondly they want to shoot threes and a high clip. You don’t have enough good shooters to do that plus you have one of your best players who refuses to shoot. It would be absolutely the dumbest hire for the personnel we have

d'antoni has coached a few different styles depending on his personnel...but yes, most are fast paced styles of play.

They’ve always had good shooters too when they’ve been highly effective. Houston and Phoenix where he had his two best coaching jobs. We don’t have that luxury as currently constructed

simmons - 3rd team all-nba

embiid - nada

All-NBA First Team

All-NBA Second Team

All-NBA Third Team

Among the players who just missed the cut were Bucks forward Khris Middleton (82 points), Sixers center Joel Embiid (79), Wizards guard Bradley Beal (32), and Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (26)

Today’s announcement is a positive financial development for both Siakam and Simmons. As a result of Siakam’s Second Team nod and Simmons’ Third Team spot, both players will earn starting salaries worth 28% of the 2020/21 salary cap, rather than 25%.

The exact value of their new contracts will depend on where the ’20/21 cap lands. If it stays the same as in 2019/20 ($109.141MM), Siakam’s four-year extension will be worth $136.9MM instead of $122.2MM (with a 25% starting salary), while Simmons’ five-year pact will be worth $177.2MM rather than $158.3MM.

Embiid would have become super-max eligible in 2021 if he had earned an All-NBA spot, but he’ll need to make an All-NBA team next season to gain eligibility now, as ESPN’s Bobby Marks tweets.

Maybe embiid will be motivated next year now and be in shape

Honestly at this point they might as well just blow the whole damn thing up and just start over with a rebuild. Because D’Antoni doesn’t make any Fing sense. It’s like trying to hit a square peg into a round hole with personnel.  it’s not gonna work. I swear this organization is the dumbest organization in the NBA

That's why he was immediately hated in new york and LA because he didn't have the point guard or shooting guards to run his system and players that can shoot the 3 at all 5 positions.... Considering the sixers don't have a solid 3 point shooter at any position.... Like I said that there could not possibly be any worse of a coach hire
