Atkinson all the way. That Nets team two years ago played the Sixers tough in the playoffs and they were over achievers for sure. He will end up with the Pelicans, they will end up a top 5 seed in the West and everyone will say why didn't they hire him

I'd agree he did a nice job with them. They get these high priced players that don't even play because of injury and now they think he isn't good enough. That's some BS they obviously run sheet the same way the sixers do which would be clueless

A max guy to be a rim runner, makes sense

I was moreso just pointing out that Simmons is a way better fit for an MDA style offense than Embiid.  Obviously you'd hope he would be used than for just that purpose but for uptempo he's clearly a better fit.

Of course but until Ben improves he is just a bit better version of Draymond Green to me.

At least Green trys to attempt 3's to respect him somewhat. Can't even get any of that out of Ben at all.

ben won't even take shots outside of 5 feet.

Maybe he will teach our guys to shoot, even better he will make sure the front office brings in some shooters.  Everyone realizes that for this team to be successful we need shooters.

They’re  NBA players. This isn’t college where he teaches guys how to reinvent themselves into better shooters. He can put them in offenses that is best suited for their skill set  it’s up to them to become better shooters by working at it.

I think some of you guys on here are giving the Sixers organization way too much credit or think they know what they’re doing. This is the same general manager that put this roster together that can’t shoot In the first place. And we knew then they needed shooting. Additionally i think it’s a pipe dream to get rid of horford. Add On I don’t trust Elton Brand to make the trade with Joel Because he probably will F that up

count me out of that group. i think this front office cant get out of their own way. as soon as that game 4 ended against the celtics, brand shouldve been tossed along with brown.

Bam > Joel

The way he can initiate the offense by bringing the ball up the court is a rare talent and his agility if off the charts

no question

Bam is a modern NBA center improving like crazy. Joel is obsolete. Unmotivated. Injury prone. Plateaued in skill and regressed in athleticism.

Butler's defense and leadership in the 4th quarter won the Heat the 2nd game.

What a legit shooter can do for a team and the Sixers let JJ walk.

I don’t think anyone has faith in the front office, but what choice do we have but to HOPE that they somehow come to their senses and make the right moves? What is the alternative? Run back the same roster that clearly isn’t good enough?

How many draft picks would we have to give up for this to happen.

Followed by this trade. Yes us sending Wiggins to San Antonio and receiving back Aldridge

So we'd end up with Aldridge on an expiring deal, spellman and lee on cheap contracts and be out of sheety contracts. I know it would never happen but I'm willing to give up a few first rounders to get it done.

Minnesota would laugh you off the phone.  They'd need GS #2 pick, Sixers OKC pick, and 1st round picks from the Sixers and GS on alternating years for the next 6 years.

Sold. I'll give almost anything to get rid of horford

Got a new trade machine but it’s a PITA to screen shoot on the phone.

traded Horford, Zhaire, the pelicans pick this year and our own second round pick this year

to San Antonio for:

Aldridge and Mills.

gives spurs a chance to tank and two picks this year. Gives us cap relief in a year when we dump those two.

I’d be willing to trade Shake if they wanted a decent role player back. I just want an expiring contract for horford and am willing to give up assets to get there.

At some point they will run out of young cheap contracts to trade or they will have to go the Rockets route and just get longer contracts in exchange for expiring deals. It is only sustainable for so long

I think you are likely going to have most of that roster back. I think if you believe you getting anything that’s going to be useful for horford then you are just fooling yourself. It’s a bad contract with 3 years still on it. It’s not close to an expiring contract yet. Add on you could likely trade harris but have to take on a bad contract back. So either way you make a move it’s likely not great return. Add on they’ve basically told you they are not moving embiid and Simmons right now. So if they hire d’antoni there’s a strong chance they give him a chance to make embiid and Simmons work in his system before even doing anything. Just because we want to believe if they hire D’Antoni that embiid is the odd man out doesn’t mean automatically trade him.

Also hiring D’Antoni and hoping they come to their senses to make a trade With embiid is the the wrong hope you should have. Not trading away guys for an overrated coach who’s system has shown to be flawed and likely to be gone in 3-4 years anyway. That’s been the book on d’antoni since leaving Phoenix.

Just pointing out I do not see Minnesota giving up Karl Anthony towns when they just acquired D’Angelo Russell. Russell was a acquired because Karl Anthony towns and him are really good friends and that’s who towns wanted. I think they’re going to give them at least a season together to see if it works. There were reports that the Warriors wanted him before but Minnesota said they weren’t trading him. It would honestly make no sense to trade for Russell and give up a top 3 protected pick in 2021 At the deadline to just trade KAT after they just played a handful of games together.

I was just going off all the rumors of kat being traded for their first rounder this year. I know these aren't realistic but I'm bored and want horford gone so I can dream damn it!!!

That trade machine doesn't realize Brand is the GM of the Sixers

Could be harris and you take back a bad contract as well.
