I'm on the celtics boards.  Tweet after tweet about this rumors being false.  They didn't trade Brown for Harden but they are going to trade him for "all word" Simmons?

Have no idea what’s going on in that organization, but both Brown and Tatum were called out recently by Marcus Smart for never passing the ball. Could be some frustration growing within the organization, who knows.

As good as Brown is, I almost feel like it would be a mistake to add him to this team. Ball movement has been so great this year, which is why they’ve been so damn good. I have concerns that Brown would come in and act as a ball stopper and disrupt the movement.

The offense has been more exciting so far this year when he hasn't played.

Yeah that's true. My son's first game.  Would be nice to have the best players out there.  But... he won't really know anyway.

This would be a concern of mine as well.  Brown has averaged great numbers but the Celtics are just mediocre.  So I am not sure how much he impacts the game.  He is obviously great defensively.  This is all moot because this deal would never happen anyway.

Just tell him Drummond is Embiid.

I don't really mind an alpha scorer who stops the ball if he can make his shots. Brown at least does that.

I'd hope Doc gets a little buy in from him to improve his passing at least a little bit.  But that alpha guy is what's needed.  Especially when Joel is off.

Embiid is now in Covid Safety Protocols and will miss multiple games

that sucks....but hopefully his knee feels better after getting some rest.

Are these guys vaccinated and they are having break thru cases?  Or....did these f'ers pull a "Rodgers"?

and I'm only an hour north of Philly in NJ.....should I grab my sneaks and head down to the Center?  I'm sure my 5'6", 53 year old body could at least toss some alley oops!!  Because at this point, can they even field a team?

pffft.....5'6" in heels, maybe.

What, like what.

Right now this is a regular season team and you need a wing bucket getter to win in the playoffs. Jaylen is exactly that and still getting better every year

Simmons not getting Covid by sitting out

I bet he tries to make out with Joel when Joel is sleeping tonight.

Things were going too smoothly so makes sense covid will ruin the season

It’s the second week of November so no biggie.  Now some players getting sick in April would be another matter.

Harris is reportedly vaccinated. Don't know about anyone else. At my wife's hospital break throughs are very common. Half her department seems to have gotten it (she hasn't). Vaccinated people in her department who have contracted covid get rid of it in a day or 2 with minimal symptoms.

When you find out half the Sixers roster is out

I said what I said. Yeah teams that win in the playoffs generally have a wing that can score, but that guy also needs to average more than 2.5 assists. Browns best year for assists was 3.4. Other than that he’s basically been a 1.5-2.5 APG guy.

To average fewer than three per game shows a guy who doesn’t keep the ball moving. Go ahead and look at all these "bucket getter” wings that have won championships recently. Doubt you can find one that doesn’t put up decent assist numbers.

klay thompson averages 2.3 apg for his career & his best season was 2.9.

Yeah.  Supposedly Harris has it pretty bad though, according to Doc

kawhi only averaged 3.3 apg during his season with the raptors.
