Isn't horford better than love

Not for us. Love shoots the 3 way better and we didn't get horfords impactful defense either.

Love is way better for our spacing.

I almost hope for DAntoni because itll require the biggest roster overhaul.

I feel like Lou and Donovan would try to make it work with our guys.

Dantoni would definitely need an overhaul.

Lou would try and fail to make it work.

Donovan gives me the best hope to actually make it work.

Im sorta intrigued by the way Lue used LeBron (when not in iso) and seeing that with Ben. As much as I am sick of Ben and would love a trade. I wouldnt mind seeing Lou give him a look till the trade deadline to see if he can do it.

You give Ben way too much credit. His talent only works in a high paced spread them out offense. Hell, I'm not sure what his talent is besides stat stuffing.

I bet if you asked him in private if he even enjoys playing basketball, the answer is probably no. He just that talented but doesn't give a F

I never dreamed anyone in this thread would ever accuse me of that.

Donovan to the Bulls. Makes sense. Bulls love college coaches and they get one with NBA experience.

i think a big roster overhaul with a vet coach, isnt really bad idea right now, it should have been done in 2016 when dAntoni was here and not with a rookie coach like brett that destroyed all of our assets.

Meh, Donovan had superstar talent before this season and couldn't do squat nor did he hold them accountable or get them to buy in.  Don't think he'd have much luck with Embiid and Simmons.  His team over achieved this year.  I don't think he is anything special.  Really no coaching candidate out there seems particularly exciting.  MDA just isn't a fit.  Lue...I liked what I read in an article and the way he used Lebron in their championship season, has experience handling superstar egos, but still seems underwhelming due to the fact he won one with the best player in basketball.

i'd be okay with lue or mda.  at least they're established coaches with a history of some success.  the roster moves are what really matter though.

But we missed on the guy whose team blew a 3-1 WCF lead the only time in his 5 playoff appearances he advanced past round 1 despite being favorites for many of them.  :furious:

 tough one.

sixers' fans will **** no matter who they hire as coach. even if they hired phil jackson...i mean what has he ever won without having the best player of all time in mj or shaq/kobe?  fraud!

I'm actually leaning Lue.  I know MDA is a good coach but I just can't see us making that many wholesale changes to adapt a roster to his style.  I don't even think it would be feasible in one offseason.  He'd really have to adopt a whole new style, which maybe he's capable of, but I'm not sure I want to find out.

gws2 bomb:

This has now come down to a Harris vs FO battle. One side wants D'Antoni (Harris) and the other wants Lue. So far the front office has held him off but we've all come to expect Harris to win these battles.

Personally I hope it’s not Lue because I don’t think he can make this roster work, and I think that is the FO plan if Lue is the guy.

If it’s D’Antoni, to me that gives me some slight hope that the FO acknowledges the massive roster overhaul needed.

the basketball guys in the front office want lue...the billionaire owner with no basketball background wants mda.

mike d'antoni...welcome to the 76ers!

The fact that Harris wants D'Antoni should be an immediate red flag that he is a bad hire.

i think im taking time off from watching the sixers if it ends up being MDA.
