im not sure. the cap makes it tough to think of a trade package that would work. id have to really look at that.

Rumblings of Mike D'Antoni going to the Sixers have gotten much louder this past day. Nothing's final, I'm just intrigued since his preferred style isn't a fit for Philly's roster. It'd be weird. Would hiring him be a precursor to changes to modernize the team? MDA does love CP3.

If we consolidate our picks along with Josh, kork, filler and get two out of Tyrell Terry, Skylar Mays, theo, Kira Lewis... We will be fine. Bringing in alot of past their prime over 31 year old players won't work.

Im surprised Miami isnt there. Have to think thats Joel's preferred destination. Possible Jimmy  might lobby for it (a little less certain since he seems to love his guys there so much too though). 

And they have shooters for D'Antoni like Duncan Robinson and Hero. 

 

I wouldnt mind that Atlanta package at all though.

Exactly why I’ve been saying I want him. It would HAVE to result in some major roster changes. If they hired Lue or even Donovan I think they’d have just run back pretty much the same roster.

Yeah.  But you see players get where they want to go all the time.  Depends on how much input the teams will take from their stars.

I don't think Jimmy will make a big push, but I'd bet he would at least mention it.

Embiid would definitely want to be there.  Or NO with JJ.

Jimmy cares about winning and has a team right now that only cares about winning. He doesn't want losers on the team.

Yeah.  He doesn't think Joel is a loser.

But as I've already said he seems to love Bam and Hero so while I'd expect him to bring up Embiid with management, I don't see him banging the table for it and possibly seeing his other guys get traded away.

Still say a swap of Horford for Hield is one of the more feasible moves.  Hield was a bench player for Kings on a big contract (one year longer than Horford).  He can't defend, can't create off the dribble but he can shoot.  He's pretty much a Redick.  He'd fit here and the Kings can use a veteran center to pair with Bagley.

Yeah don’t see them moving embiid if they hire d’antoni. At least not right away. from the article 

Now, word is leaking out that Brand is pushing hard for the Sixers to hire D’Antoni and that Joel Embiid gave his blessing. In addition, there are reports that the Sixers will make trades if D’Antoni is hired. The expectation is that he’ll have a say in picking players for his freewheeling style of play.
