Embiid is happy with a MDA hire because he would be facing the basket more.

He just doesn't get it.  At this point,  never will...

at this point, in.

I’m pissed off all over again seeing Butler bring the Heat to the finals. Choosing Harris and Brett Brown over Butler will go down as one of the dumbest moves this team has ever made. And this isn’t hindsight, this was obvious in the offseason.

Doc was fired from the Clippers so might be Lue job

I would be surprised if Lue doesn't take the Clippers job.  What are the chances the Sixers go for the big name in Doc and try to reunite Tobias with his old coach?

Rivers would be a lukewarm hiring, yet he’s far more qualified than Lue.

what do you think the odds are that he's the guy?

man, i have no idea. i do think they want an experienced guy with nba head coaching experience & a  track record of winning...rather than some up & coming assistant or college coach. they need someone who will command respect from jojo & ben and hopefully get them to work harder.

I think I'd prefer Doc Rivers over D'Antoni.

I think Doc is exactly what they want in a big name with a history of winning, even if he can't replicate it here due to the incompetent FO.

Personally I've decided I want Doc named coach just so I can hear Marc Zumoff refuse to call him Doc while calling every game for however many years he lasts in the position.

He's the guy.

Apparently we reached out within hours of his availability. We have shown the most interest.

And it kinda sounds like Lou was going to be his today. Was scheduled to meet again today and meet with owners.  It was said to be very far along.

So on the day that was planned,  to be meeting with Doc... to me it seems like he our top guy.

If you read the link I posted about what Perkins said about it,  he makes sense considering we have Embiid.  Doc gets the most out of his bigs.

I'm not a huge doc rivers fan but I'd take him over anyone else that's been mentioned. There just aren't a lot of quality HCs out there.

Philadelphia 76ers ownership -- including Josh Harris and David Blitzer -- will meet with Doc Rivers in Philadelphia on Wednesday night on the franchise's head-coaching job, sources tell ESPN.

Rivers talked earlier Wednesday with general manager Elton Brand. Other top candidates -- including Mike D'Antoni and Ty Lue -- also met with Brand and ownership.

Rivers is the final candidate in the process. A decision is expected this week.

I think Rivers would get the most out of Embiid. Also for the few remaining Brett Brown fans, the fact that he hasn't gotten any consideration for another NBA head coaching gig speaks volumes to how he is thought of as a coach.
