NBC sports seems to think the Warriors are still likely to offer a package if Ben or Joel are made available.

But should either player become available, it's safe to assume that the Warriors -- who have the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and the Minnesota Timberwolves' 2021 top-three protected first-rounder -- will put together a package in an effort to strike a deal.

I hope not.  Ben has his flaws but there is no one close to as talented in this draft.

the only reason simmons is getting traded is because he doesnt want to play for doc and embiid wanted doc, it just says that simmons wont change his game for doc, he has to be traded plus it will open money up for us to sign or trade for a big name shooting guard.

Theres probably not a draft pick in this draft comparable to the idea of what Simmons could have been.

Im not sure there isnt a player who can be as good as what he has only become.

But its still a big gamble in a weak draft to hit on finding that player. The players involved to match the salary to make a trade work would be an important part of the deal. Are they going to be players who factor in to our future or are they just throw ins?

 

If Golden State is adding Wiggins and Paschall or Poole, or even Ky Bowman in to the deal with pick 3 and next years Minnesota pick, thats much more enticing. 

If Minnesota is sending Culver, and Naz Reid, Okogie, or even Malik Beasley its more enticing.

That dude is followed by some legit hoops people including Daryl Morey.  Kendrick Perkins even replied to the tweet.  I'm not saying it happens but MN is a good fit for Ben.  I've been saying KAT is the ideal big to play with him.

Simmons and Russell were tight in high school. 

Not sure how Simmons and Towns will get along after Simmons choked him till he tapped out.

The guy that tweeted it knows LaMello's manager. Theres 2 possibilities but both affect the likelihood of the trade in opposite ways.  Either his manager is helping drive interest for his client as a legit contender for the #1 overall pick (doesnt necessarily need to be the 6ers just let other teams think he is being looked at that high), or he has actually heard something of the team's legitimate interest.

Who knows which of those things is true. One scenario makes it just a rumor. The other scenario would make it very likely to happen.

 

I would like a Simmons trade. Harris had his best season with Doc as his coach. Doc is going to know how to maximize him. And if he is more like that LA version of Harris, we have a potential all star. And, theres some expectation that Doc knows how to maximize his bigs so it bodes well for Joel.

But we cant rely on either of those guys to be our top player. Its probably 50/50 whether we run all that LA stuff for Harris and he looks great again or if he is what we have seen of him in Philly. And we know Joel is going to get injured. Even if Doc has him playing great, hes going to miss a significant chunk of games.

We need someone who can be relied on. To be a scorer when either or both of those guys is off. Or injured. Ben is not and never will be that guy. And hes about the only asset left who can bring back that type of player. Doc will likely want a PG on his team and we have none. Chris Paul, Jrue Holiday, Spencer Dinwiddie, Mike Conley, Kyle Lowry, Terry Rozier... 

I feel like one of those guys is going to become a 6er. If you can make a Ben trade and bring back one of them + other assets and then trade Horford for Hield now you have a back court.

T Wolves better find a 3rd team for AL or I would pass every time. Ball is straight garbage. He isn't afraid to shoot, but his shot is flawed and his selection is even worse. 

Killian Hayes, Devin Vassell, Tyrell Terry are the only kids I really like in the lottery. Like a few others but not a fan of Edwards, Ball, European kid or Wiseman aka Top 4
