buddy hield please.

The possibility of Doc bringing in Alvin Gentry as an assistant is no more. Gentry will be an assistant with the Kings.

I always heard of Doctor J, never "Doc" J. So I think this is stupid. But....

I was thinking that myself. Never heard of doctor rivers either

it's doctor j but he is referred to as "doc" all the time.  it's what people who know him call him.

I assume this is an age thing.  I'm old so I remember people referring to Dr. J as Doc.  That's even how Doc Rivers got his nickname.  He wore a Dr J shirt at a basketball camp and the coach, Rick Majerus I think, started calling him Doc.

Source: The Philadelphia 76ers have a strong interest in Bradley Beal. The Wizards would want both Ben Simmons and Matisse Thybulle as a part of this trade. Doc Rivers is reportedly a big fan of Beal's game. pic.twitter.com/olxHgmIeJ9

Welllllllllllllll well well

Get Bertans in a sign and trade

Not sure how they can ask for Thybulle as well. Then I'm asking for Troy Brown, who showed a bit during the bubble.

beal is a beast & still only 27 years old. that would be an amazing trade.

who is gonna handle the ball?  was beal running point for the wizards?  I didn't watch them at all.

beal. he can play either guard spot. he can create & shoot it from deep...exactly what the sixers need.

if they did this and somehow managed to get a horford for Hield deal done that would be awesome.  slide Harris back to PF and then you have Joel surrounded by the shooters he needs.

Would need to sure up SF.  I'd prefer Harris play PF in this case but if need be Bertans can be PF and Harris SF.  I fan can dream.  Joel surrounded by 4 shooters.  I'd really hate to give up Tisse on the defensive end.  If we could keep him out of the deal somehow that would be awesome.

This has been my best case scenario if trading Ben is going to happen.  I'd be really happy with this.

If you get both then that would be bananas. A pure PG like Rubio or bring Lowery home, would be perfect for this team if could get Beal.

That would be a lineup to contend

Rubio, Beal, Thybulle, Harris, Embiid

I would really really really resist to trading Thybulle right now because he already is an elite defender and can take the pressure off Beal. Then if he can develop a corner shot, watch out

He was last year because Wall was hurt

Speaking of Wall, you couldn't find a worse fit on the court for him than Ben.  I don't think the Wizards would ever be able to unload Wall either.  His contract given his injury record might be the worst in the NBA.  Even worse than Harris'.

I have no hesitation letting thybulle go to get beal.

Fine you can have Thybulle but I want a pick swap.  We're giving up 2 young players for one.  One that is all defense and one that is well on their way to that.  9 for 21 and it's a deal Wizard guy.

I would do it, but having good players on rookie contracts is important. Sixers also lose two best wing defenders and Beal will have to expel more energy guarding the best wing

Thybulle floor is Tony Allen and ceiling is a bit better shooter than bubble Marcus Smart.

salary-wise...the wiz would need to add about $5 mill in salary...so there would be at least 1 more player coming to philly.

Nah, we're good.  Wiz have some cap space.

Yeah. agreed on the rookie conracts. Thats why Brand shouldnt sell all of our 2nd round picks. Use them, or use them to trade up if you dont want as many players. Stop just giving them away. We have 4 more second rounders this year.

As far as Thybulle, he was a senior. Theres no real hope of developing offense. He might become a more consistent shooter. But theres 3 and D players a plenty in every single draft, and on the free agent market every single year. Hes a dime a dozen.

So maybe he has all defense potential and some replacement player for him is just a really strong defender. That downgrade is still a small price to pay to get Beal.
