Which happens first: Harden’s injury magically heals and he plays, or Ben’s hurt feelings and mental health issues go away and he plays?

A couple days ago I didn’t think it would get done until the off-season. I still had it wasn’t gonna get done until the off-season if thybulle was going to be included that deal. They were never going to give up thybulle knowing in the off-season they could get James Harden without having to give him up. I think they’re OK giving up Seth Curry in that deal because they’re not gonna give him an extension after next year because it’s gonna be way too costly for them to do it at 33 years old.

I think the other thing that came into play is that Brooklyn saw the writing on the wall that if they kept James Harden he was going to do what he did in Houston and then leave to go to Philadelphia in the off-season and they get nothing if the sixers moved Harris.

This is a really good, overlooked point. Curry was gone as an expiring contract next year anyway. We traded a guy who didn't play for us, a guy we wouldn't have resigned and a backup center for Harden and Millsap.

funny part is...i can't stand harden...never liked his style of play. hopefully it will work out though.

His first year with the Nets he was a legit facilitator for that team so I wouldn't worry about that.

millsap is pretty washed at this point so hopefully morey has toweled off and is on the phones looking for a big.

Now we need to see what they do for buyouts, because they absolutely need a Drummond replacement.

Thanks, I hope you are too lol.  One of my buddies feels the same way as you and was texting a bunch of crap.  He said we will never win a championship and I said make a wager.  He said $100.  I had to say yes.  He said ever, so as long as Harden is still on Philly.  Enjoy your golf day.

Cause the Sixers were swimming in titles before?

I get it - I'm not a big Harden fan either.  Really don't like how he lets himself get fat and dogs it if he isn't happy, but it was worth a shot.  And it got Simmons out of town.

Why? Because Harden was demanding out and he overpaid a bit to get him? Genius would have been taking a longer term approach like the Sac deal, clearing Harris, and getting him for nothing if he was that serious about getting out. Not saying it was a bad move but it's not like he pulled off a trade out of nowhere. Good move. Wouldn't call it genius.

Overpaid??? That's rich LOL

Where's H.E.?  The dude posts in here like 800 times a day and now MIA

Must be begging the government for more handouts

Not gonna happen.  It’ll be load management.

Wendy's is gonna go bankrupt on Frosty handouts.

Was listening to Sirius on my lunch break talk about at some point in time Kevin Durant might ask for a trade out of the Nets because he didn’t sign up to play with Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving as a part time player. Plus kyrie having the issues that he’s having and could opt out at the end of the year and sign elsewhere especially if the mandate sticks on the vaccination in nyc. I would not be shocked at some point in time if Kevin Durant is traded

Very happy this nightmare is over.  F you Ben.

The most interesting dynamic I'm looking at with the Nets is how Durant and Kyrie look when the same spacing issues that Ben creates hits them - when nobody has to respect the perimeter when Ben is out of the paint and they can double up on either guy.  How is that gonna look and are they planned around that issue.

I think if he does that it gives him the chance to get a supermax at the end of next year.

I don't believe that. Dude just loves to ball and Simmons is a good teammate for him

Not talk nearly enough about this trade if James Harden can play like James Harden is the fact that Tobias Harris becomes a legitimate third option. With Simmons here there was no chance he could just be the third option he had to be more. As a definitive third option you hope that Harris is able to thrive in that role

What's going to happen if we meet in the playoffs?  Give him some ecstacy and put a diaper on him?

Or trade him next season

not having to carry the scoring load every single night is really going to really help embiid.

Not a ton but I think he did a bit. Good move. I preferred others. We will see. Other moves have to be made. Hour to go.
